A Tale of Two Immigrants

The U.S. will not accept refugees fleeing from Haiti and Cuba. It’s an odd statement as we watch as the southern border is overrun by immigrants from Central America and makes even less sense when you know that the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas is Cuban.

Mayorkas stated on Tuesday from the Daily Caller. “Allow me to be clear; if you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States. If individuals make, establish well-founded fear of persecution or torture, they are referred to third countries for resettlement. They will not enter the United States.”

Resettlement? Third countries?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the government felt this way about all of the illegal aliens pouring over our southern border? There is a huge difference in those migrants compared to Cubans.

I’ve said on my daily podcast that liberals would have already had a wall constructed if they believed that the illegals aliens pouring in from Central America were Republicans. I know it’s hypocritical but it’s true. The left believes that if they give these illegal aliens healthcare, welfare and free education they will vote Democrat for the rest of their lives.

Rush Limbaugh referenced the illegal aliens many times in the past calling them exactly what they are “A permanent underclass of Democrat voters.”

By contrast, Cubans tend to be very conservative people. Living currently in a Communist, Marxist, Socialist country gives them firsthand experience of what the Liberal left wants to do in America. Cubans come to America and vote for freedom, liberty and the American way. The left cannot have these migrants coming here and voting for the enemy.

It’s obviously apparent that the Biden Administration wants to shut this kind of immigration down. I’m still waiting for the “woke” left to fill liberal Twitter with outpourings of every immigrant life matters. We see this from the likes, of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar telling us that all of these immigrants are just looking for a better life here in the U.S.

Are Cubans not looking for a better life? Do they not crave freedom and self-responsibility? Where are the liberals crying for them to have a better life?

This is the liberal conundrum. If they back the Cuban people against the Cuban government, they cut their own throats on what they want America to become.

Liberals want oppressive government and complete control over your lives. Former Obama administration Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius recently appeared on CNN’s “Out Front” with Erin Burnett. Sebelius argued that unvaccinated Americans are “impinging” on others’ rights. She continued to argue that unvaccinated Americans shouldn’t be allowed to work or be around children.

The left cannot condemn the Cuban government. The problem is they want to be the Cuban government and have complete control over every facet of your life. The Democrat party has backed itself into a corner. If they stand with the Cuban government, they lose big in the midterm elections, if they don’t they lose a good part of their socialist base. It’s a catch-22 for the Democrat party. But let’s face it, Socialism only works until you run out of other people’s money and the left is dangerously close to bankrupting America.
