Given his recent conduct, Joe Biden’s message of inclusivity and unity seems like pure “malarkey”

Presidential hopeful Joe Biden wants the American public to believe that he is all about unity, dignity, togetherness, and inclusivity. Unfortunately for Biden, his recent conduct and/or statements seriously undermine this message/vision and strengthen the possibility that his message of unity and togetherness is pure “malarkey,” as he frequently says.

A cursory review of Biden’s website gives the American public a first-hand look into Biden’s supposed vision. There, under what is ironically labeled as “Joe’s Vision,” it reads:

We are in a battle for the soul of America.

It’s time to remember who we are. We’re Americans: tough and resilient. We choose hope over fear. Science over fiction. Truth over lies. And unity over division. We treat each other with dignity, we leave nobody behind, and we give hate no safe harbor.

We are the United States of America. And together, there is not a single thing we cannot do.

Notwithstanding Biden’s message,” his recent conduct and/or statements have been anything but tolerant, unifying and inclusive. For example, on one occasion, Biden criticized a potential voter and called him fat and a damn liar simply because the man asked a question about Hunter Biden’s dealings with Burisma. On another occasion, Biden told a potential voter who asked about the issue of building new pipelines to “go vote for someone else” while pointing his finger in the man’s chest. On yet another occasion, as reported by Townhall, Biden dismissed an 18-year-old member of the Sunrise Movement who was concerned over Biden’s acceptance of Super Pac donations and told the young man to “Look at my record, child.” Also, on several occasions, Biden has encouraged potential voters to vote for someone else and/or vote for Trump after getting frustrated/agitated and/or arguing with them about various issues that were important to them.

Biden’s conduct is far from unifying and his responses dramatically oppose the concept of inclusivity. Rather than bringing people together, Biden criticizes and pushes people away who tend to question his policies and/or his platform. He doesn’t try to explain himself and the ideas that he promotes. Rather, he personally attacks them and oftentimes tells them to vote for someone else. Most recently, as reported by Newsweek, Biden told an auto plant worker in Detroit “you’re full of sh*t” when the man accused Biden of actively trying to infringe on the Second Amendment and trying to take guns away from people.

Biden’s recent conduct contradicts his message of unity and togetherness and casts serious doubt about his ability to handle the pressures associated with the office of the presidency. For example, does Biden think that he can simply tell Vladimir Putin or any other world leader to speak with someone else if he doesn’t like what they say? Does he think that he can personally criticize/attack those who don’t agree with his ideas/platform? Better yet, does Biden think that he can challenge someone who opposes him to a push-up challenge or an IQ test like he did with an 83-year old farmer in Iowa who simply expressed some of his concerns as a voter? Finally, does he think that he can resort to childish threats as he did in 2016 when he expressed the desire to take then-candidate Trump “behind the gym” as opposed to debating him?

Biden’s recent conduct and/or statements have been divisive, condescending, undignified, and childish. Rather than listening to the legitimate concerns of various American voters, he has brushed many of them aside, resorted to personal attacks and insults, and has advised them to vote for President Trump or someone else.

This type of conduct is not unifying, tolerant, inclusive, or dignified. On the contrary, it is divisive, insulting, and undignified.

It is also a recipe for failure should he become the Party’s 2020 presidential nominee.
