SpaceX Aborts Test of Starhopper Rocket … again
Update: SpaceX scrubbed the launch at T-0.
Private space firm SpaceX scheduled a test of its Starhopper rocket test ship for Monday around 5 PM EDT.
The planned test hopes to launch the rocket and have it ascend to about 150 meters before returning to the surface.
After the test, it is expected that the Starhopper test ship will be retired as engineers use the lessons learned from it and apply them to the Starship project.
Watch:
Another test of the rocket had been set for July 24th, but it was scrubbed just 3 seconds after the ship’s Raptor engine started.
