President Donald Trump will receive his briefing as prepared by the intelligence community then meet with President Buhari of Nigeria. The two leaders will then hold a joint press conference. [live stream]

Regarding the United States Delegation to China

Today, President Donald J. Trump announced the members of an official delegation from the United States to China to discuss the trade relationship between the two countries beginning Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Executive Actions

  • Signed S. 167, “The National Memorial to Fallen Educators Act”, into law Sunday which designates the National Memorial to Fallen Educators at the National Teachers Hall of Fame in Emporia, Kansas
  • Issued memoranda to the Secretary of State and Secretary of Energy on an agreement between the U.S. and U.K. and the U.S. and Mexico on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy
  • Issued two proclamations that approve section 232 tariff modifications including final agreement with South Korea on aluminum and agreements in principle with Argentina, Australia and Brazil on steel and aluminum. The proclamations also extend negotiations with Canada, Mexico and the EU.
  • Issued a proclamation making May 2018 “Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month”
