Only Thirteen Percent Of Voters Think Michael Wolff’s Book Is Credible

by Henry Rodgers

Only 13 percent of U.S. voters believe Michael Wolff’s book on the early days of President Donald Trump and his administration is credible, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

A Morning Consult and Politico poll conducted between Jan. 4-5 found that 19 percent of voters think Wolff’s new book “Fire and Fury: Inside The Trump White House” is “somewhat credible,” while only 13 percent believe the stories inside the book are “very credible.”

However, 12 percent said the book was “not at all credible.” Meanwhile, 20 percent of voters said they have not heard of Wolff’s book and 22 percent had no opinion on it, the poll showed.

There have already been multiple errors found in Wolff’s book regarding basic facts and questionable sourced claims. For example, Wolff printed an unsubstantiated claim that Trump had no idea who former House Speaker John Boehner was after the election. Trump, however, has tweeted about Boehner multiple times since July 28, 2011, and has even played golf with Boehner.

The poll was conducted online among 1,988 registered voters. There was a margin of error of plus or minus two percent.
