Underdog Nashville Predators Move On To Conference Finals in NHL Playoffs
One of the best stories of the National Hockey League playoffs has to be the thrilling run of the Nashville Predators.
After dispatching the St. Louis Blues 3-1 on Sunday, the Preds are a mere eight victories away from winning the Stanley Cup.

The trip to the conference finals is a first for the team who sneaked in with a number-eight seed only to stun the mighty, veteran-laden Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 in round one. The masterful goaltending of Pekka Rinne held the offensive powerhouse Hawks to a paltry three goals in four games.
Nashville continued with its defensive mastery in round two by besting the Blues 4 games to 2. St Louis managed to tally eleven goals in six games but averaging fewer than a goal a game is not going to win you many series against anyone in the playoffs.

The Predators now get a few days rest while the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks go down to the wire for the other spot in the Western Conference finals.
