WATCH: Burger King Ad Tricks Google Home into Telling owners about the Whopper

Just a few months ago we were dealing with Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa possibly colluding with the CIA and now Google’s AI assistant has been turned into a talking billboard for the Whopper.

Burger King released an ad designed to trigger Google’s Home and android smartphones into describing Burger King’s signature burger, The Whopper, to the device’s owners using the first sentence from Wikipedia on the sandwhich.

The ad was entertaining for a bit, but it appears that Google has put a fix in place to avoid the device being triggered by the actor in the advertisement. That won’t stop you from asking “Hey Google, what is the Whopper burger?”
