Reports of the Clinton Foundation shuttering its Clinton Global Initiative in New York appear to be true as a legal notice was filed with the New York Department of Labor last week.
On January 12th, Clinton Foundation Director of Employee Relations Veronika Shiroka filed a WARN (Worker Training and Readjustment Notification) notice that announces the termination of CGI’s entire staff of 22 people effectively shutting down the scandal-ridden organization.
The Clinton foundation has suffered the loss of huge contributors and international backers since Hillary lost the November election which then suggested that the organization had been built for influence-peddling.
Without a cabinet position or the chair in the Oval Office, the Clinton’s have nothing of value to foreign government agencies – a fact not lost on the Australians or Norwegians as they both have pulled funding from the initiative.
The fact that the Clinton’s are choosing to shutter the CGI indicates that they aren’t able to pull in the money necessary to fund the “charitable” organization.
CDN attempted to contact Ms. Shiroka to ask whether this is an attempt to reorganize the foundation into an actual charity if they are just winding down a now-defunct political power-brokering organization, but our request for comment was not answered as of the publication of this article.
