Ezekiel Emanuel, Rahm’s brother and a doctor himself and one of the architects of the Affordable Care Act during the Obama administration, writes in a new piece that he only wants to live 75 years.

In his piece published Wednesday in The Atlantic, Emanuel submits that by the time he becomes 75-years old, he will have “lived a complete life.”

“I will have loved and been loved.  My children will be grown and in the midst of their own rich lives.  I will have seen my grandchildren born and beginning their lives.  I will have pursued my life’s projects and made whatever contributions, important or not, I am going to make.”

He clarifies his statement assuring everyone he is, “as far as my physician and I know, very healthy, with no chronic illness,” adding that he recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with two of his nephews.

Emanuel also writes in the piece that he has “actively opposed” legalizing euthanasia and physician assisted suicide since the 1990s.  The architect of one of the biggest healthcare overhauls in history labels those who are trying to extend their lives as “American immortals”:

“Americans seem to be obsessed with exercising, doing mental puzzles, consuming various juice and protein concoctions, sticking to strict diets, and popping vitamins and supplements, all in a valiant effort to cheat death and prolong life as long as possible.  This has become so pervasive that it now defines a cultural type: what I call the American immortal.  I reject this aspiration.  I think this manic desperation to endlessly extend life is misguided and potentially destructive.  For many reasons, 75 is a pretty good age to aim to stop.”

In the piece, Emanuel writes that he will not engage in euthanasia or suicide once he reaches 75, and will not try to extend his life either:

“After 75, if I develop cancer, I will refuse treatment.  Similarly, no cardiac stress test.  No pacemaker and certainly no implantable defibrillator.  No heart-valve replacement or bypass surgery.”

Hey Ezekial, you selfish, fatalistic, facist  liberal idiot bastard.  Yes I said it, “Bastard,” Don’t play God with other people’s lives which is what you are doing when you wrote Obamacare with the Independent Advisory Boards deciding who gets what treatment and who doesn’t (Sarah Palin told us there would  be Death panels and the mass media who heard it said it was a lie she was right again) and not insuring anyone over the years of 75 saying if they want a certain procedure they will have to pay for it themselves.

That may be fine for you, but I know plenty of people who are well over 75 and leading active lives. My friend’s mother is 85 and plays tennis and golf, my other friend’s father is 98 and still alert physically and mentally, my own aunt is 95 and still physically fine.

Recently on the show “60 minutes” they did a study of an adult community with 1000 people over the age of 90 who were very active. One man was 95 and still dates other women like a rascally wise cracking younger man, another woman was 92, still drives a car and is so busy with her life she rarely has time to see a doctor.

Ezekial if you want to suffer and die at 75 when you can extend your life and live a more enjoyable, fuller, productive life then so be it . That is your decision, but don’t go pushing your beliefs onto someone else like you are doing in Obamcare.  What you are advocating makes Treblinka and Dachau  seem to be still in operation.  Now I understand why the ACA makes it a felony for a doctor to treat a cancer patient or a cancer patient to receive cancer treatment after the patient turns 75. The exact wording is “It is a waste of resources to treat someone after that age.” Page 272. section 1145: “Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient’s age. It IS in the law. Look it up for yourself. When one hits a certain age or a specifc illness the decision on how to treat you isn’t a decision between you and your doctor any more. Someone will decide for you. Obamacare is age versus cost effectiveness.

“Have you noticed that the once-vaunted medical law was proudly identified as “Obamacare,” even by Obama himself? Now, that its critical flaws and shortcomings have become common knowledge, the term “Obamacare” has disappeared, with the media and Obama, himself, referring to that law as the “Affordable Care Act.”

Those “life ends at 75″ and similar pronouncements are nothing less than an insidious strategy to justify Obamacare’s “death panels” and its lack of care for the elderly sick.

It’s a despicable liberal strategy.”

I whole heartedly agree and now we have a weak, wimpy Speaker of the House like Boehner teaming up with Nancy (“we have to pass it to know what’s in it”) Pelosi to fund it. I remember reading Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World” and George Orwell’s  “1984” in the early 60’s when I was in high school thinking they were scary futuristic sci-fi fantasies. In fact a fellow classmate wrote in my year book, “Hope you live to see the year 1984 when you will know who big brother is.”WOW was he ever fortelling. Now thanks to people like Ezekial Emanuel, Obama and the new technology we are there. Huxley and Orwell mist be smiling in their graves.
