Ashes to Go? Phx Churches Take to the Streets

It’s Ash Wednesday, the start of the Holy Lenten season for Christians.

No time in your schedule to swing by church?

No problem.

In Phoenix today pastors and priests are greeting parishioners at the train and on street corners. Offering interested passers-by with a cross of ashes on the forehead.

If the people can’t come to the church. The church will go to the people.
