My Country No More

The election is over. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am, along with many others, I am sure. However, the thing that I am most disheartened about is that we are no longer a center-right country. It seems the people of this country have chosen to go the way of bigger Government and with that comes fewer freedoms; The Supreme Court will without a doubt be dominated with Liberal justices,  I hope the people understand what they have given up.

Yes, Obama is a big Government guy, he still thinks that Government is the answer to all problems, he is supposed to be a Constitutional professor, the Constitution was written purposely to restrict big Government, I guess he wasn’t much of a professor either. However, now it seems that the American people also agree with him, big Government is necessary for America, I still do not agree. He came into Washington, not for the good of the American people, but to force his idea of what America should be down our throats and to fuel his radical Liberal agenda. Yes, he was slick, slick as a used car salesman, who by the way have a higher trust factor then politicians do. Just about everything Obama did restricted the economy from growing and cut into our freedoms, but that was his agenda all along.

The main reason  freedom of the press was added into the first amendment, was to be a watchdog on big government, to try to keep government from becoming corrupt and to make sure our freedoms were not infringed upon by our own government. Well the press has failed miserably at doing its job. A stranger ran for President in 2008, he came out of nowhere, unqualified and inexperienced, his past was full of mystery and the press turned a blind eye. There were a handful of people in the press that raised important issues, but were laughed at, or called racist, because they dared to challenge the lefts liberal golden child; they wanted to elect the first black President no matter what, and what was good for  America did not matter. The press shoveled the shit and the American people swallowed.  Not only did the press help Obama get elected, but they also covered for him throughout his first term and you can bet it will continue.

I had such high hopes for a Romney Presidency, I felt our country was finally going to get back to what our Founding Fathers envisioned for our country, at least a lot closer than we were, but I guess that is not to be. Right now, I feel about America as I would a wild son, I still love him, but I am very disappointed the road he has chosen.

In my book America, A Society Gone Wrong, I stated that I started to notice the change in the country in the 1990’s and it slowly slipped downhill from there. I guess I have to write a sequel to the book and call it, America, A Country That Is No More. I still believe that Liberal views and policies have brought this country down, so far down that I feel with the re-election of Obama, it will soon be unrecognizable, this is definitely not the country I was born into, that country is gone.

I hope that I am wrong, but I do not see the economy getting better in the near future, and I think we are going to have to settle for an America that is so-so, instead of our once great nation, we will most likely go down the same path as Greece, Italy,Spain and the others. Obama’s agenda is to make America another country just like the others, no better no worse, not the great country we once were. I am afraid we will all just have to settle, I think we have passed the point of no return, unfortunately.

This is one man’s opinion.
