During a meeting of the Special Operations Division, while discussing threats against the first family, the alleged police officer said that, “he would shoot the First Lady and then used his phone to retrieve a picture of the firearm he said he would use.” After the comment, which was overheard by a fellow Division Officer, who immediately reported what was heard to the Division lieutenant, who reported the alleged comment to superiors.
A D.C spokeswoman, Gwendolyn Crump, said in an email “We received an allegation that inappropriate comments were made. We are currently investigating the nature of those comments,” according to the same article by the Washington Post, Gwendolyn Crump also “declined to discuss the matter further.”
WaPo reports that there was no, ” indication of a legitimate danger to Michelle Obama.” A spokesman from the United States Secret Service said in an email that they, “will conduct appropriate follow-up.”
