Our Harsh Reality: We Are Self-Destructing As A Nation

Remember the lady who said she wasn’t going to have to worry about putting gas in her car or paying her mortgage now that Obama was president. In her words:

“If I help him, he’s gonna help me.”

And then there’s the “Obama stash” lady:

Well, there is a lady in Orlando, Florida, who seems to believe that the moment Obama was elected President, she no longer had to pay her mortgage. Since November 2008- the very month Obama was elected, Michelle Murray-Clark has not paid her mortgage. Folks, this is 40 MONTHS that this lady has not paid her mortgage, yet she is STILL living in the house! The appalling thing is, the lender is ALLOWING her to stay there,  due to “the harsh realities of the real estate market”. Not only is the lender allowing her to stay there, “the loan processor, has not taken steps to evict her and is working on a third attempt at a loan modification.” (emphasis added)

As if all of this isn’t bad enough, Ms. Murray-Clark says she sometimes “wakes up in a foul mood” because:

“It’s very tense, because I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

What should happen is what would happen to you or I if we decided to stop paying our mortgage! It is quite unlikely that any of us taxpayers would be afforded such a luxury. Our “harsh reality” causes a bit more than just a “foul mood” for those of us who see see things spiraling completely out of control in our great nation! We are on a fast moving bullet train headed straight towards self-destruction as a nation- and NO ONE is putting on the brakes! In fact, it seems everyone in power is doing everything they can to speed up the train!

There is a quote that is attributed to Alexander Fraser Tytler that is the epitome of what we are seeing come true right before our very eyes:

“Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.”
