A friend sent me an e-mail he received from one of the Communist
I wonder if my difficulty in understanding the Kos position comes from my lack of a formal education in journalism. You see, I am a high school graduate who worked in the communications industry for 32 years, after a 3 year enlistment in the U S Army. I never availed myself of the “enlightenment” of a college journalistic education. I found my writing coming in the form of a gift from God to share with others. As we proudly proclaim here at Conservative Daily News, I am a citizen journalist.
After reading the e-mail several times I found some discrepancies in the message from Herr Bowers of Pravda, er the Daily Kos; and in the article by Gershon. I have a bit of a different take on the NPR quote than do Herr Bowers and Herr Gershon. According to the Daily Kos, the newNPR guidelines of ethics states:
“If the balance of evidence in a matter of controversy weighs heavily on one side, we acknowledge it in our reports.”

Okay, fine, NPR wants to report how many “experts” believe in one side of an issue and how many believe in the opposing view. I don’t have a problem with NPR, or any news outlet, reporting the numbers of “experts” on both sides of any issue. I do, however, take issue with the way in which this is reported by an obviously leftist rag like the Kos.
The e-mail says:
“Too many news outlets seem to consider it their job to tell the competing sides of any given story, instead of focusing on reporting the truth. Now matter how unsupported by the facts one side may be, this widespread “he said, she said” journalism is how, for example, climate change deniers are treated seriously in the media.
In a positive move, National Public Radio recently issued new editorial guidelines rejecting this false balance. Disavowing the worst excesses of “he said, she said” journalism, NPR’s new code of ethics states that “if the balance of evidence in a matter of controversy weighs heavily on one side, we acknowledge it in our reports.” This is an important step to curing what has become an endemic plague of false “fairness” in American journalism.
Oh, where do I begin with this? The Daily Kos has decided, for example, that “climate change deniers” are merely nuts with no valid right to have an opinion. I didn’t get that from the NPR quote listed in the Kos “story”.
When I read the quote from NPR I get the impression that they intend to tell both sides but to report which side seems to be more heavily
I find the last sentence of the e-mail especially troubling. Herr Bowers refers to a “false fairness” in journalism. Isn’t “fairness” what the left is always yapping about? Of course when one looks at the premise of “false fairness” one gets the picture very clearly. “Fairness” is any position the left takes on an issue. Any dissenting opinion is not only “ignorant”; it is also “false” and not deserving of being reported.
I am not a fan of NPR by any stretch of the imagination. That bunch leans so far to the left they would fall over if it wasn’t for tax dollars propping them up. NPR is so far left that they fired Juan
I heard a quote a while back that seems to fit here. I don’t remember where I heard it but it goes; “everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion but not entitled to his/her own facts”. It seems Herr Bowers and his “komrades” either haven’t heard this or don’t subscribe to it. Pravda, err, the Kos criticizes NPR for reporting both sides of issues and lauds them for just now coming to their senses to report the “truth” rather than the facts.
I didn’t do a lot of research on the new policies of NPR because that isn’t the point of this article. A few days ago I wrote two articles based on a Ben Kinchlow article =”https://www.wnd.com/2012/02/brainwashed-by-americas-media/”> / about media brainwashing. This ties in with Kinchlow’s article and those I wrote https://conservativedailynews.com/2012/03/media-brainwashing-techniques-how-do-we-overcome-it/” target=”_blank”>=”(https://conservativedailynews.com/2012/03/media-deception-and-brainwashing-techniques-working-well/”>. This is blatant brainwashing by distorting a quote to mean something that it doesn’t mean on the surface. To say NPR will only report the politically correct side of a story may be totally correct, but that is not what the quote used by the Daily Kos said. The NPR quote said they would “weight” the story not that they wouldn’t report both sides. Is that double talk from NPR? I don’t know yet.
This is what We the People and this nation face. Truth is denigrated by those who are supposed to be dedicated to finding the truth and reporting said truth accurately. This is the state of
The internet is integral to the reporting of the facts, and both sides of an issue. With the slant of the alphabet news media outlets today the internet is our only source for fair and balanced reporting. The reason the Marxists in government and their propaganda arms want control of the internet is to stop a balanced approach to information.
Outlets like the Daily Kos are doing everything they can to prevent truth and facts from becoming known by We the people. They don’t just distort the truth they outright lie. NPR is bad enough without influences like the Kos becoming part of their regimen and/or distorting the message.
I submit this in the name of the Most Holy trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty god to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.
