If Global Warming Covers The World Why Does It Always Land In California?

The above headline is taken from an article that recently appeared on the website American Thinker.

According to California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, global warming caused the big fires ravaging his state, as well as its two ideological sidekicks, Washington and Oregon:

“The debate is over around climate change,” Newsom said as he toured a burn area in Northern California. “Just come to the state of California. Observe it with your own eyes. It’s not an intellectual debate. It’s not even debatable any longer.”

He also said he’s “exhausted that we have to continue to bait this issue.”

“This is a climate damn emergency,” he said. “This is real.”

Not so fast Governor Newsom.

According to the Cal State University fire scientists, whose website indicates they are the only ones studying this, the number one reason for the increased incidence of California’s fires is:

1. FOREST “FUEL LOADS” ARE HIGH.

The forest floor grows dense with flammable dead branches and brush when it’s not cleared out, either manually or when burned. In many parts of California’s wildlands, these forest “fuels” have not burned or been cleared for decades, due in part to fire suppression policies by state and federal agencies.

“One of the reasons we’re observing more fires is because of 100 years of poor Forest Service policy where we didn’t allow prescribed fire or wildfires to burn,” says Craig Clements, Ph.D., director of the San José State University’s Fire Weather Research Laboratory and associate professor of meteorology and climate science.,

Another contributing factor to the growing forest fuel load is the increasing number of dead or dying trees caused by bark beetle infestations. These insects, along with the drought, are responsible for killing 129 million trees across California since 2010, quite literally adding fuel to the fire.

During the 1990s when Bill Clinton was president, he declared millions of acres of forest land as national monuments. This meant that they couldn’t build emergency roads in various areas so fire trucks couldn’t get in there or land management trucks couldn’t get in there to clean out the deadwood and brush which is needed periodically.

To attribute the entire global warming phenomena to a localized weather event in one place is kind of absurd.

The third reason cited by the Cal State fire scientists is human activity – leftist housing policies drive poorer people into the wilderness areas where fires are more likely to happen. The scientists say that 95% of fires are caused by people, either intentionally or unintentionally, so….

Recently family having a gender reveal party was celebrating by shooting at targets with explosives in them even though they knew the area was very dry and knew the consequences. Members of the families have been arrested and the judge is making them pay for the damages which are in the millions. This set off the beginning of the wildfires out in Calif.

Another ANTIFA member was arrested for carrying a bunch of dried sticks that were lit and setting areas on fire.

A man who was arrested in Oregon after allegedly using a Molotov cocktail to start a wildfire was later released from jail but rearrested less than 24 hours later for allegedly starting six more small fires.

On Monday, September 14, 2020, at 3:37 a.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched with Portland Fire and Rescue to a report of multiple fires burning along the west side of the I-205 freeway. Portland Fire and Rescue extinguished three of them while passing community members put out the other three. All were caught early. No one was injured and no structures were burnt. Officers located Domingo Lopez, Junior walking along the shoulder and arrested him. They seized a lighter as evidence.

Lopez was transported to a hospital on a Police Officer Hold for a mental health evaluation. He was issued citations for 6 additional counts of Reckless Burning.

An arrest was made in connection with the fire and this individual was a prominent member of Black Lives Matter and a frequent attendee of Anti-police protests, in fact, The ANTIFA/BLM arsonists are bragging about lighting the Oregon Fires.

These reasons and various campfires during a dry season all contribute to these wildfires burning now.

As far as global warming goes, which liberals love to use to further their agenda on the world, the earth has only warmed one degree in the past 100 years. Antarctica has 3000 miles of new ice so the earth is actually getting cooler according to climate scientists.

The proof of the pudding that California’s fires are not caused by some vaguely defined global warming is the fact that these fires are only happening in places where bad greenie policy is the rule. California and its sidekicks Oregon and Washington are up to their necks in these fire-starter greenie policies
