Senator John McCain Attacks Trump Again

Senator John McCain, during an interview with C-SPAN about the Vietnam War that ran over the weekend, said this:

“One aspect of the conflict, by the way, that I will never, ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest income level of America, and the highest income level found a doctor that would say they had a bone spur. That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”

While Senator McCain didn’t mention any names, paying close attention to his comments reveals who he’s referring to. McCain appears to be talking about President Donald Trump. President Trump received five deferments during the Vietnam War, including one for bone spurs.

The “bone spur” attack is just McCain’s latest shot at the President. McCain has seemed persistent to derail the President’s agenda at every step. As we remember so clearly, McCain wound up casting the deciding vote against the Trump-backed repeal and replace plan back in September.

“John McCain never had any intention of voting for this Bill, which his Governor loves,” Trump tweeted in the wake of that vote. “He campaigned on Repeal & Replace. Let Arizona down!”

“Democrats are laughingly saying that McCain had a ‘moment of courage,'” the president continued on Twitter. “Tell that to the people of Arizona who were deceived. 116% increase!”

In an interview with “60 Minutes” last month, McCain insisted his vote against the health care bill wasn’t revenge against Trump for the comments about his war service.

It’s getting harder and harder to believe the Senator who has continually been an obstacle for passing any of President Trump’s agenda.

McCain had this to say about the way President Trump has lived his life:
“He is in the business of making money, and he has been successful both in television as well as Miss America and others,” McCain said of Trump. “I was raised in the concept and belief that duty, honor, country is the lodestar for behavior that we have to exhibit every single day.”

Here’s a message for Senator McCain: the Trump agenda won in 2016. It won for Conservatives in the House and Senate all across the country. People support the President, and it’s time you do too.

  1. It is hard to see a young person like this writer be so gullible as to believe lies from President Trump. People don’t support Trumps plans because his plans do not benefit the country or any significant group of citizens other than the few industrial leaders. Young people are frustrated, but our country will be made worse and worse if young people cannot get beyond emotions to the facts at issue. I am afraid we have a whole young generation incapable of researching facts.

    1. It’s even harder to see someone older who believes they have the answer after decades of the government failing citizens young and old. It’s hard for us younger people to respect elders who think that the government can fix society’s ills after a century of proving that it cannot.

Don’t blame the young. It’s your fault … and you’re not doing anything to make it any better.

Reduce my taxes (which cost me more than food, clothing and shelter combined), reduce the deficit and debt, and get these ridiculous geezers out of my Congress.

You screwed the pooch when you were young, I won’t make the same mistake.

  2. Senator McCain, please make your medical records public. We have a right to know the status of you health.

Also, how many other elected officials have you criticized for not “serving”?
