Donald Trump is hitting the ground running with the same energy he exhibited during the election. To think that Kamala Harris had the ignorant audacity to define Trump as tired and unfit for office shows how irrational and out of touch this wannabe is. How could anyone, including uneducated white women, envision this woman even close to the resolute desk? Trump is filling his Cabinet and staff faster than they count votes in Arizona, and he is putting smiles on every Republican’s face, which is precisely why we wanted Trump back in the White House. Every person Trump announces, and they are coming rapid-fire, has one thing in common. These people are patriots who love this country and will serve with the same goal as Trump- to get it back to its rightful spot as the shining beacon on the hill as quickly as possible. America can be Great Again, and this Dream Team is assembled to get her there.
Trump’s picks are not made to have the most diverse team but the most productive. This movement is what government should look like, and even some Democrats must be in awe, if not envy, at what they are seeing. With Congress under Republican control, this team should sail through confirmation and get to work.
Interestingly, this team comprises people who once were Democrats, like Musk, Kennedy, and Gabbard, but also people who once were vocal foes of the President-Elect. The records show that Marco Rubio and even JD Vance once considered Trump a threat to America. It is said that one of the greatest attributes of a person is the ability to forgo ego and change their mind.
Some of Trump’s appointments raise questions and concerns about qualifications and legality. This is interesting when you think about the silence from these same people when Biden was stocking the Executive branch with people of color, sexual orientation, gender, and even gender orientation with no concern for qualifications. The last four years showed us how that process played out, yet not a single Biden staff member was ever dismissed for incompetence.
The Dream Team roster, from Elise Stefanik to Mike Huckabee, are not only Trump but American loyalists. This will be a cohesive group that will be focused on results. There will be debate, but not dissension that will slow the effort to change the government, but also the culture.
America elected this President with a resounding mandate and a rare win in both the Electoral College and the Popular Vote. He needs immediate positive results that every American can see and feel. We need to have this Presidency restore the patriotic feeling that America is the greatest country on earth and an example for others. We do not need to spread Democracy with direct influence but with evidence that our Republic is solid and our Democracy sound. Trump was elected less than 10 days ago and will not take office until January 20th, but when he meets with Biden in the White House on Wednesday, it will be comforting to have one man in the building who loves America and is qualified to be there.
