Wow, these Democrats who met in Chicago and unveiled a campaign of Joy and Hope pledged to be the great unifiers and heal the divide of the last sixteen years. Unfortunately, that pledge was the biggest lie in a campaign filled with lies. Kamala Harris spent Election Eve in Pennsylvania, and her rallies featured Oprah, Lady Gaga, and Rapper Fat Joe lecturing the audience on why they must vote for Kamala Harris. Oprah extolled the supporters, saying that if they did not go to the polls and vote for Harris, “there may never be an opportunity to vote again.” Fat Joe said a vote for Trump was in defiance of the pride of people of color. It’s not about issues, just about fear. While Trump was telling his supporters that he would end inflation, seal the border, unleash America’s energy, and bring about a new “Golden Age” of prosperity to America, Harris did not mention a single policy except preserving abortion rights. Her message was about the dreams and aspirations of America. Well, my dream and aspiration is that Donald Trump will be the 47th President.
Sunday, we saw the new Republican and Democratic parties. Harris brought A-list celebrities to the stage in a show of money and power. His family and hard-hat-wearing steel workers surrounded Trump, symbolic of the beliefs of the new Republican Party. Family and the average American are what the Republicans are all about. In contrast, the Democrats have become the Party of the elites. Thus, Harris raised over $1.2 Billion in an abbreviated three-month presidential campaign.
The union’s presence is riveting. As a reluctant member of the Teamsters, I know firsthand that each union has two coalitions: the leadership and the rank-and-file members. The Teamsters remained neutral and did not endorse a candidate in this cycle—something they have not done in decades. This was done because the leadership traditionally endorses the Democratic candidate, but over 60% of members support Donald Trump. The split is also true with the Steel Workers. The members overwhelmingly support Trump, but the leadership endorsed Kamala Harris on behalf of their members.
I was disgusted to hear the comments from people like Governors Kathy Hochul and Gretchen Whitmer telling me I am anti-Christian for voting for Donald Trump, and appalled to hear that I am anti-American for casting my vote for Trump and every other Republican running for office in the Granite State. These people have no policies to enhance your life or keep you safe in your neighborhood. They have no concern for our sovereignty and would rather spend our tax dollars supporting wars in other countries than fortifying our military. They are more concerned that women have a right to abort their unborn up to the time of birth and that young children can be medicated and surgically modified to change their gender than to protect our children from illegal migrants who want to do them harm. These people have no right to preach the high ground to me because of the choice I make in the voting booth.
I am a proud American and love this country. I do not want to see it morph into the Socialist land envisioned by the radical left. We all have the privilege of taking part in our election process. Both sides can cast their votes without being judged and shamed by the other. That is part of a unified country and democracy that the left claims to protect but whose actions say otherwise.
