Have the Lawless Democrats Learned their Lesson Yet?

Although this idea will pain my fellow Democrats, all of the [legal] cases [against Donald Trump] should be abandoned.  … Two of the prosecutions were brought in federal courts by [DOJ] special counsel, Jack Smith. The two others were brought in state courts in Manhattan and Atlanta.  The federal cases are history.  Smith plans to resign with other members of his team before Trump takes office in January, …  [T]he state cases against him invoke legal strategies that had never been used to criminalize the behaviour that prosecutors charge. … [T]hey carry the stench of politics … In both [State cases], the prosecutors’ legal theories were … are unusual, to say the least. … [T]he Constitution trusts the judgment of the American people … [and they] have spoken. That [democratic] judgment is the critical check [on] politically driven prosecutions of presidential candidates.

Thomas Goldstein, The New York Times, 11/15/24

I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country, and people violate laws any time they want.  [I]f I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention to it.

Bucks County Commissioner Democrat election official Diane Ellis-Marseglia, 11/20/24

American voters … saw strikingly anti-democratic positions from those [Democrats] claiming to be the defenders of democracy, including: 1.) Seeking to strip Trump from ballots under unfounded theory rejected unanimously by the Supreme Court.  2.) Fighting to block [Biden’s] opponents from ballots in the primary and general elections. 3.) Suing to keep Robert F. Kennedy on ballots after his withdrawal in swing states to confuse voters and reduce the vote for Trump.  4.) Calling for blocking dozens of incumbent GOP officials and legislators from ballots as “insurrectionists.” 5.) Pursuing the most extensive censorship in history and blacklisting opponents.  6.) Engaging in open and raw lawfare in the prosecutions of Trump in places like New York.

[New York DA] Bragg went a dangerous step further than Stalin ever did: He [took] a false bookkeeping entry … and magically converted it to a felony … by alleging [it] was intended to cover up another crime [but] never [said what that crime is]. … In closing instructions Judge Merchan [told] jurors they didn’t [even] have to agree on the specifics of Trump’s [crimes].  [No one can] defend themselves against such vague allegations. … [marking] the beginning of a new era of partisan weaponization of our justice system.  Bragg [showed] how easy it now is to get a conviction against political opponents. … [T]he ultimate losers will be the American public.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, 5/31/24

I have seen justice and injustice in China, Russia, Ukraine, England, France, Italy, Israel [and] nearly 40 of our states.  In my 60 years as a lawyer and law professor, I have never seen a spectacle [like] the one I observed [in] the courthouse yesterday.  Judge [Merchan] in Trump’s trial was an absolute tyrant, … [W]hen the defense’s only substantive witness …  raised his eyebrows at one of … Merchan’s rulings, [Merchan] cleared the courtroom [and] threatened to strike all of Costello’s testimony if he raised eyebrows again. … [an] absolutely outrageous, unethical, unlawful and petty [threat].

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, May 21, 2024

Before jurors [began deliberating] Judge Merchan framed their deliberations less like a jury deliberation [and more like] a canned hunt [of a caged animal].  The trial seemed otherworldly, …. [M]ost honest observers were wondering what [Trump’s crime is].  Merchan [allowed] the prosecution [legal] flagrant violations from offering testimony on unestablished facts to directly contradicting prior instructions.

There is a direct line from Democrats’ policies to America’s current illegal immigration crisis [beginning] with so-called “sanctuary cities.” According to World Population Review, these cities … obstruct immigration enforcement and … prevent ICE personnel from carrying out their duties.”  … [In]2018, more than 560 jurisdictions were considered to be sanctuaries.

The Hill, 2/7/24

All their unjust schemes (their absurd Stalinist lawfare schemes to put Trump in prison, attempts to keep both Trump and Biden’s other political opponents off both primary and general election ballots but to keep RFK, Jr. on the ballot in swing states to “confuse” the voters, attempts to block many incumbent GOP officials from ballots as “insurrectionists” even though none has been convicted of insurrection, engaging in extensive censorship and blacklisting, fascist style, of their political opponents, etc.) having failed, and finding themselves, therefore, “in the wilderness”, one wonders what the Democrats will do next.

They and their media poodles (an arm of the Democrat Party) could just stay the course and continue hating, indicting, smearing, bankrupting and bragging that they don’t feel obliged to follow the law anymore (generally behaving like 2-year-olds who didn’t get a cookie).  This includes all the hyperventilating fake “news media” talking heads” and “expert” legal analysts who beclowned themselves for years praising the Stalinist lawfare against Trump.  Initial evidence suggests that Democrats may forge ahead unchanged.

After Trump won, MSNBC’s Joy Reid, immediately played the race card again (shocker there), claiming falsely that though “Black voters came through for Kamala Harris, White women voters did not”. First, Trump’s victory involved a massive realignment of the electoral map with virtually all demographics (that really terrifies the likes of Joy Reid).  Second, apparently employing the crystal ball that she bought on eBay for $12.50, Reid somehow managed to divine the private motives in people’s minds for voting as they did, namely, that white women “vote more on race than on gender, and on protecting their gender”.  However, not everyone is obsessed with race like Reid.  Maybe white women voted as they did because they can no longer afford to feed their children or because they don’t want their teen daughter to be the next murder victim of the Biden-Harris open border and “sanctuary city” policies.  Apparently, Reid does not grasp that in America people are free to make up their own minds how to vote.  Wait, isn’t that the fascist position?

Similarly, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) immediately erupted into a racist attack on white men, including others, the false claim that whites were never slaves in America.

On CNN, Jen Psaki, Biden’s former “Press secretary,” repeated the false claims that Trump “incited a violent insurrection” on Jan. 6th  2021 at the Capitol, that he ran as a convicted felon”, that “he has promised to be an authoritarian leader to go after his political enemies,” that he has “bragged about stripping away women’s bodily autonomy,” and so on.  Please show us where he bragged about taking away women’s bodily autonomy or taking revenge on his political enemies. Then I will give you a lesson in the English language.

Democrats, with complete incapacity for self-reflection, simply cannot help themselves.  All of these claims have been discredited.  Maybe the Democrats should not have continually sabotaged themselves by rigging the nomination process and nominating a candidate who can’t coherently answer a question

Here’s suggestion:  First, listen to the American people instead of constantly disrespecting and lying to them, and, second, end the name-calling, the lawfare, the constant rigging of everything and try, if you still retain any idea whatsoever how to do this, to defend realistic policies the American people actually want.  Duhhh!
