Democrats Normalize Transparent Lying

Before the Election

What we’re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of extreme MAGA philosophy.  It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the … [MAGA is] like semi-fascism. I respect conservative Republicans. I don’t respect MAGA Republicans.

Joe Biden, 8/26/22

I do [believe Donald Trump is a fascist].

Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ response to CNN’s Anderson Cooper’s question whether she thinks Trump is a fascist, 10/23/24

President Biden believes … former President Trump is a fascist, the White House said Wednesday …

Associated Press, 10/23/24

As Election Day nears, and the progressive panic over Donald Trump escalates, Democrats are [finishing] with a favourite theme: Trump is a threat to the Constitution, to democracy itself, and is a “fascist.” The fascist meme is all over the place, … MSNBC interviews earnest academics who draw a straight historical line between mid-20th-century Europe and the 21st-century GOP. A writer for The Atlantic takes the hyperbole prize with a headline that Trump is talking like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini. … Kamala Harris told a crowd in Pennsylvania that Trump “is seeking unchecked power.”

Wall Street Journal, 10/20/24

After Trump’s Victory

Setbacks are unavoidable, but giving up is unforgivable. The American experiment endures. We’re going to be OK. But we need to stay engaged, to keep going.

Joe Biden, 11/8/24

The outcome of this election is not … what we wanted … But … the light of America’s promise will always burn bright as long as we … keep fighting. … [T]oday, I congratulated President-elect Trump on his victory. … [But] we will never give up the fight for our democracy … [W]e will continue to wage this fight in the voting booth, the courts and the public square.

Kamala Harris, 11/9/24

Don’t y’all find it strange that now that he’s won, they’re not calling him a threat to democracy [or] a fascist [anymore]? … I would think that if you really believe that, somebody [would say] America effed up and things are about to be really bad. It makes you wonder how much of it did they really believe, or how much was just politics.

Charlamagne the God, 8/11/24

I’ve answered this question multiple times. [T]here was an election two nights ago.  And, it was free and fair, and … [t]he American people made the decision. … [T]he job of the president is to make sure we respect that [and] have a peaceful transfer of power. That is what the American people deserve, and it’s really not complicated. It’s truly, truly as simple as that.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre response to Fox News’ Jacki Heinrich question how she can square Biden’s and Harris’ congratulations to Trump after his election victory if they really believe that he’s a fascist, 11/8/24

One of the storylines concocted by the Democrats and their “News”-media Colluders in order to keep themselves in money and power and retain the right to push innocent people around is that since Donald Trump is a fascist he must be defeated at the ballot box in Nov. 2024 in order to “save democracy”.  No, this is not a draft of a skit for Saturday Night Live.  The Democrats made this a central part of their campaign strategy.

Of course, the Democrat’s own statements after their massive election loss to Trump demonstrate that they never believed this themselves.   Before the election, Biden said that not only Trump but “the entire MAGA philosophy,” that is about 74 million Trump voters who accept that “philosophy,” is “something like semi-fascism.”  Later the White House confirmed that Biden believes Trump is a fascist.  Kamala Harris, with her usual sanctimony in one of her acting performances, confirmed to Anderson Cooper that she believes Trump is a fascist.  And, as the Wall Street Journal correctly reports, this fascist-accusation and similar accusations, that Trump is like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini, is “all over the place.”

More directly to the point, if Biden, Harris really believed that Trump is a fascist or that he is like Hitler, why, as black podcaster Charlamagne the God (not, putting it mildly, a Trump supporter) asks, why did they so readily concede the election to him?  If, as Biden has stated, Trump is a fascist, how, after the election, can he turn on a dime and cheerfully say that “We’re going to be OK. But … we need to stay engaged.”  If Trump is a fascist, how can he say “we’re going to be OK”?  And if Trump is a fascist, what’s the point of “staying engaged”?  Real fascists have a way of dealing with people who stay a tad too engaged.

And if Trump is really a fascist, as Harris has stated with her usual sanctimony, how, after Trump’s election win, can she say that “we will continue to wage this fight in the voting booth and the public square”?  But if Trump is really a fascist, there won’t be any voting booth and the public square will be very very dangerous.

Jean-Pierre, whose job as White House Press Secretary, is to not answer questions, became noticeably distressed when asked this question by Fox News’ Jacki Heinrich, and evaded the question entirely by saying that “it’s as simple as that” that they have to obey the election results.   But if Trump really is a fascist, it is precisely not that simple.   It might be just that simple that they must conceded to Mitt Romney if beats them, but the whole point of calling Trump a fascist is that it is not that simple anymore.  Do these people even know what words mean anymore?

Of course, they do know what these words mean.  Charlamagne the God’s suspicion is right.  It’s all politics and Biden and Harris didn’t believe it all along.  They were lying, and transparently so.   One might reply that most politicians lie.  But the Democrats have normalized, not just lying in campaigns, but transparently outrageous lying.  The claim that Trump is a fascist, like the crude mass murderer, Mussolini, is silly, even for them.

One might also reply that Trump called Harris a fascist.  But first, he did this in a direct response to her calling him a fascist.  Second, and more important, Trump did not do this as part of a sustained campaign strategy backed up by his Party, by many in academia, and repeated again and again by our so-called “news” media.

Most politicians lie from time to time but the Democrats and their allies in what’s left of academia and the “news” media have taken this transparent sick lying, which makes a mockery of our elections and does tremendous damage to the country, systematically repeated across multiple institutions, to a whole new level.

When the Democrats begin this same strategy of outrageous sick lying in the 2026 and 2028 election cycles, which they will, the Republican party, which finally has a leader with some cajones, must remind the voters again and again how they lied in 2016 (the Trump-Russia Collusion lie), in 2020 (the Trump-praised-NAZI’s-and-White-Supremacists-at-the-Charlottesville-protest lie) and in 2024 (the Trump-is-a-fascist-lie) to cheat the American people out of fair democratic elections.

Republicans must point out this pattern of systematic outrageous lying by the Democrats as relentlessly as the Democrats and their colluders in academia and the “news” media are in pushing such lies.

  1. This article makes a very important point: calling Trump a Nazi or a fascist and then just dropping that point when he clearly wins is stark evidence that they did not believe what they were saying to begin with. No one could peacefully and genuinely turn the leadership of a country to anyone they believed was a second Hitler or Stalin.

  2. It’s been taught that Socialism and Fascism are polar opposites. That myth was created by academics who needed those labels to be polar opposites so they could more safely resume the push towards Socialism. The reality is they are cousins if not siblings. All big authoritative governments that strip away the rights of people and believe their constitutions are fluid are Left leaning. The only real difference between Socialism and Fascism is one had a generic brand, the other a national brand, but otherwise both are the same. An extreme Left leaning government controls everything. An extreme Right government would be near chaos. Somewhere to the right of center is ideal.
