[Kamala Harris’ campaign] really was an historic, flawlessly run campaign. She had … Queen Latifah [who] never endorses anyone.
MSNBC comedian Joy Reid, Nov. 7, 2024
Kamala Harris is the worst candidate for president in American history. When the Vice President [Kamala Harris] crashes to defeat against Donald Trump, the only person she will be able to blame is herself

Kamala Harris ran the worst presidential campaign in modern American history. The VP only has herself to blame
The Telegraph, Nov. 7. 2024
It’s Been Easy To Forget How Bad Kamala Harris Is
But I’m here to remind you.
Reason Magazine, 7/21/24
It’s insulting [for Democrats, who have] “entirely … lost” the working class, … to insist [that] the economy’s doing great [when a 12-pack of Bounty paper towels now costs about $40]. [And] the biggest unforced error of the Biden administration by far was the border. [For the Democrats] to tell people [it’s secure] is insulting.
Brian Williams, former NBC and MSNBC News anchor, 11/22/24
A lot of MAGA Republicans and conservatives are, rightly, feeling a great deal of optimism after Donald Trump’s landslide victory, including winning the popular vote, which Republicans haven’t won since 2004, in the 2024 presidential election. Trump won the popular vote by approximately 77 million votes to Kamala Harris’ 74.5 million votes (about 2.5 million votes). Trump’s victory is in the electoral college, and even more in the popular vote, all the more remarkable because of all the hoaxes, lies, Stalinist indictments the Democrats and their “news”-media Colluders (hereafter the DNC) and weak Republicans and weak Republican institutions have thrown at him over the past 8 years. The Republicans are, however, advised not to become too complacent.
First, although Donald Trump has shown himself to be a fighter that can stand up to and defeat the leftist silliness, including being shot in the face while what’s left of the Secret Service was napping, thrown against Republicans and conservatives, that does not mean that the Republicans will not revert to their standard cowering weakness after he leaves the political scene. It was Trump who pulled this off, not the Republicans per se, who were planning to run another “detached” campaign and gracefully take their loss before they return to their money and mansions. It often appears, that Republican presidential candidates don’t really want to win because that would mean they actually have to do something. Sarah Palin, after John McCain’s loss to Barak Obama, stated that she had been “banned” by the “brainiacs” in the McCain campaign from bringing up Obama’s ties to Rev. Wright (“God damn America! … The United States is to blame for the Sept. 11 al Qaeda attacks”) and banned from bringing up the Messiah’s ties to domestic terrorist Ayers for fear the “news media” would “eat them alive”. Just in case no one noticed, Donald Trump does not have any such fears but just says what is on his mind. By contrast, Republican elites are generally afraid of telling the truth about Democrat malfeasance for fear of getting them mad.
Second, and, perhaps, more important, Trump did not beat Bill or Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama by 2.5 million votes. Although I was no fan of Bill or Hillary Clinton’s or Barak Obama’s policies, it cannot be denied that these were each, in their own way, impressive individuals. I have heard that Bill and Hillary each have IQ’s in the 140 range and have no trouble believing that. Although I disagree with those who try to deify Obama as a genius, I have no trouble believing that Obama has a solid IQ. Further, both Bill Clinton and Barak Obama were no doubt loaded with personal charm. And though Hillary Clinton was seen as “unlikable and robotic”, she could at least talk and answer questions.
Kamala Harris appeared to have the same unlikability problem as Hillary Clinton, but refused to answer any questions because she could not answer any questions. She could not answer questions because the Biden-Harris administration policies were disastrous. As Brian Williams (NBC and MSNBC anchor), not exactly a right-wing wacko but a longstanding very dependable liberal, has pointed out, Biden, Harris and the Democrats generally “insulted” the American people when they gaslit them about the southern border and the inflation that was crushing ordinary Americans. Further, Harris transparently lied about Joe Biden’s impaired cognitive state, thereby putting the security of the nation in jeopardy. She made a callous response, deflecting to a talking point about the ‘bipartisan” border bill rejected by most Republicans and 5 Democrats, when asked about the women, like Laken Riley, and little girls like Jocelyn Nungaray, murdered by illegal aliens the Biden-Harris administration let into the country. And she often broke into an inappropriate cackling laugh out of nowhere (usually at her own jokes) recalling the “mad woman in the attic” in Jane Eyre. And Harris comes across as completely inauthentic. Putting it mildly, Harris is no Obama, no Bill Clinton, not even a Hillary Clinton. To borrow a certain British expression, Kamala Harris always seems to be “all out to sea.”
Despite these facts, as seems clear from the clarifying distance of London, 74.5 million Americans were willing to vote for the worse presidential candidate who ran the worse presidential campaign in American history. She has displayed no understanding whatsoever of economics or has any idea whatsoever how to solve any problems. Even the fact that most of the “news” media were covering for her does not explain that momentous fact. The real explanation is that the Democrat no longer requires that its presidential candidates are competent or can even answer a simple question coherently. Governing and defending the nation are no longer a priority for what’s left of the Democrat Party. What is important to Democrat Party voters now is only that one checks the right boxes on their “identity-politics” (another form of tribalism) form, one’s skin colour, one’s gender, one’s sexual orientation and, most importantly, that one has that big “D” behind one’s name. That is, Democrats are now more than happy to vote for nothingness as long as nothingness has that “D” behind the name.
At some time in the future what’s left of the Democrats will nominate a candidate that does not, out of fear, hide from the voters, who can answer questions (more or less), can state a coherent thesis (more or less), and is more or less likable. Governor Hair Gel of California and Josh Shapiro come to mind. The latter even seems likable. Furthermore, with Trump safely retired, it will not be long before weak Republicans start looking for ways to cave.
The point being that with Trump out of the way, it will not be too long before the United States is likely to elect another disastrous Democrat president who will immediately start looking for ways to bring down the country, perhaps throwing open the border again to killers and drug traffickers. The election of Donald Trump has only pushed the nightmare a little further into the future. It is, therefore, entirely essential that Republicans understand this and begin enacting legislation, and other means, to make this more unlikely.

This article really puts Kamala and her Republican opposition in perspective. In my opinion, this is one of McDonough’s best political items!! Thank you sir for this refreshing overview.
One of MDonough’s best articles!
Food for serious thought. I am of the mind that Americans have been duped by Democrats for decades. I was one of them. I am hoping that JD Vance will be a strong Vice President and perhaps kick that nightmare further down the road – perhaps into never-never land. The key is clearly honesty with the American people, a quality the Democrats lack.
