Democrat James Carville, Oct. 22, 2024

I know what Hitler has done, and I know what a fascist regime looks like. I think, as I have called for over and over again, that … we [should] all dial down the temperature. … I have [heard] those comments [that Trump is a fascist] … by some political leaders in the city; my answer is ‘No.’

Senators. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) … both have made concerted efforts to distance themselves from Biden administration on key issues and present themselves as moderate[s].   Tester ads featured Montanans who say they are “lifelong Republicans” or plan to vote for Trump, but back Tester for Senate.  An ad from earlier this year boasts that Brown “wrote a bill that Trump signed to crack down on drugs at the border.”

Steelworkers from a local union in [Pittsburgh] warned the industry ‘done’ with Kamala Harris. …”Historically, we’ve all been Democrats,” U.S. Steelworkers 1557 member Glenn Thomas [said:] I firmly believe [Trump] saved the steel industry, not only in our country but the Mon Valley, where many of us lived for close to 30 years.

Fox Business, Oct. 21, 2024

In 60 years as a lawyer/law professor, I have never seen a spectacle [like] the one I observed … in the NY courthouse yesterday.  The judge in Trump’s trial was an absolute tyrant … ruling against him at every turn.

[N]o one is listening to [Joe Biden] anymore and his words have little power and less reach. … We gotta lock Joe up.

Democrat official’s remark to an Axios journalist response to Joe Biden’s remark that we need to lock Trump up, Oct. 23, 2024

Serious people would make serious arguments.  If Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and the Democrats could defend their record over the past 4-years they would confidently defend it.  The problem is that their record, their disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal with 13 dead American military including two women, their record high inflation that crushes the poor and middle class (but does not much affect their own wealthy neighborhoods), their open border policies that have let millions of illegal aliens, including criminals and murders of women and little girls, into the country, their rising levels of crime across the nation that the FBI has just managed to discover, their wars all over the globe that have killed hundreds of thousands of people and may lead to WW III, their weaponization of our “Justice” system against their political opponents with Stalinist indictments that liberal constitutional scholars have condemned (indictments that have all fallen apart as they have moved to higher less biased courts), etc., as well about their lies about all of these disasters, is indefensible.  Since they cannot defend their absurd record, they have decided to distract by demonizing Trump.

The latest smear, suggested by former Trump advisor John Kelly, who became bitter after being fired by Trump, is that Trump is a fascist.  Needless to say, comrade Harris did not define what she means by a fascist.  Nor did Cooper manage to ask her to do so.   The charge by her and Biden that Trump is a fascist, as well as the associated charge by comrade Carville, stated, as is standard for Democrats, without any evidence whatsoever, that Trump is going to “arrest all of you [Democrats]” is especially comical since arresting one’s political opponents is precisely what the Democrats have been doing for the past 4 years.  Psychologists call it “projection”, namely, accusing others of doing precisely what one is oneself doing.  Do any of these people have a mirror?

The charge is also comical since several traditional Democrat stalwarts, the Washington Post and International Brotherhood of Teamsters have declined to endorse the Democrat presidential candidate for the first time in decades, and others, like Pennsylvania Steelworkers, have even endorsed the Republican, Donald Trump.  Further, it is a tad odd that if Trump were really a fascist so many Democrats around the country, Senators Bob Casey (D-PA), John Tester (D-Mont.) and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) are cutting ads emphasizing their agreements with Donald Trump and minimizing their connection with Harris and Biden.

If Trump were really a fascist wouldn’t the Washington Post endorse Harris, flawed as she is, wouldn’t the Pennsylvania Steelworkers and Teamsters stay with the Democrats, wouldn’t Democrat Senators Casey, Tester and Brown avoid Trump like the plague?

In fact, it doesn’t help convince the peasants that Trump is a fascist when Joe Biden is stupid enough to remind them that the Democrats that have been trying, fascist style, to lock up Trump and other Republicans for the last 4 years, leading a Democrat official to remark that maybe they need to lock up Joe for a while.  Thanks to that official for stating the obvious, that the fascist shoe is really on the Democrat foot.   It is the Democrats that have been partnering with social media to censor their political opponents, to put praying Catholics in prison, to put their opponents, fascist style, in prison, etc.

If Kamala and Joe can defend their record they should confidently, without evasion or prevarication, publicly do so at once.  If they cannot, they should apologize to the American people for selling out their country, for personal and professional gain, to the leftist fascists in their own Party.

  1. As the article states, no one has asked Harris, Biden, or Kelly to define “fascist.” It is pure demagoguery.
