Don’t Tell Helene Victims About We The People

When Joe Biden was asked Thursday about the relief recovery for the victims of Hurricane Helene, he was confused about what storm the reporter was asking about! I heard his response and had to rewind it. I could not believe that the President of the United States, our Commander in Chief, who had been touring North Carolina and Georgia for the last two days, was now confused by the question. He then caught himself and proclaimed that the victims were happy with the federal response and were getting all they needed. The people in Washington, D.C., live in a parallel universe with no grasp of reality. The victims interviewed could not fathom the President’s answers and could not dispute them enough. Many claim they have not seen anyone from the Fed and are getting desperate. They say if not for private citizen groups coming to their aid, they would be on their own. As one frustrated victim said, “They talk about We the People, but “we” does not exist. In Biden’s Washington, it is us and them-and us does not concern themselves with them.”

Governor DeSantis of Florida was asked about the FEMA response, and he explained that Florida has learned to fend for itself. They cannot afford to wait for FEMA, which is too big, slow, and unresponsive. Florida was hit first and hard by Helene, but DeSantis has control of the situation in his state and has begun lending aid to his neighboring states. He explained that the people of North Carolina and Georgia are uniting to tackle their problem head-on. They are disgusted that it took five days for Biden or Harris to respond when these people did not even have fresh water to drink or roads to get to essential supplies they need.

This story of government failure is too huge a story to let pass. I touched on it yesterday, but we need to dig into the facts and the cover-up by the Left. The Fema money is gone. Congress budgeted billions of dollars, and the supplemental funds were allocated through COVID-19 support. The missing funds were not used for natural disasters. Fortunately, Helene was the first such event this year. No, the funds were diverted by unscrupulous politicians like Pete Buttigieg, Alejandro Mayorkas, Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden. These funds are taxpayer dollars, which the government always forgets. These funds were stolen from the intended purpose and used to fund relief for another crisis, not a natural crisis, but a manmade crisis by the Biden/Harris Administration. The funds were used to provide a welcome package for the millions of illegal migrants crossing our border or flown in by the feds. These treasonous politicians gambled that we would be spared a disaster in 2024, and the missing money would go undetected. They bet Black and the wheel stopped on Red. They were busted, but so what? The money is gone. We know who took it, but we are spineless to force accountability on these common thieves. With a split Congress, nothing will happen to these people, and the media will never shine a light on them. Guilty as charged, but free as birds. Unfortunately, it will be years before Helene’s victims feel free again.
