Should A Campaign Speech Anger Americans?

Kamala Harris visited the New Hampshire Seacoast on Wednesday for a speech to discuss her economic plan. I have never been so angered by a political speech, and the Harris appearance had many overtones to raise the hair on the back of a Conservative’s neck. The speech focused on the small business incentives proposed by Harris. Harris could have visited many brewers or vineyards in the Seacoast, but not many that let her visit patronize the LGBTQ+ community, Gen Z, and women in one stop. Harris threw out some stats and goals, but they matter little as most of her promises will never materialize, as Congress will gut her plans that we cannot pay for. The tone of her speech and the way she attacked and insulted Conservative Republicans and lied was what raised my angst and blood pressure.

First, a visit to the Seacoast by any high-level politician has a devastating impact on traffic and schedules for residents of the area. Wednesday’s event was even worse, with the dozens of coach buses needed for the event that choked Route 1 for hours. If you search for this event on any search engine, you will see many local and national articles raving about the size and energy of the crowd. That is where the buses come into the storyline. The truth is that locals’ interest in the Harris event was so low that the campaign had to bus in supporters from nearby Massachusetts. Dozens of buses at 70 people per coach equals about 1,000 outsiders brought in to enhance the optics for Harris. This is another example of the media accepting what they see on the surface and not digging in when things are not as they seem. Other than the three owners who appeared with Harris, I did not see any of New Hampshire’s Congressional delegation in attendance. As much as the media fawns over Harris, their new toy, other Democrats are keeping their distance. As radical as this ticket is, moderate Democrats need to keep a buffer.

When Harris spoke about the opposition, it was beyond dark. In comments far from the truth, Harris blasted Trump for wanting to destroy the Constitution, cut Medicare and Social Security. She claims that Trump wants to cut funding for small businesses in return for a tax cut for the wealthy. She got the reaction she wanted when she lied about the impact of cutting corporate taxes especially when large businesses are recording record profits. She came up with a number of $5 trillion dollars that this will add to the national debt. She also keeps talking about a national sales tax proposed by Trump. The lies continued, and she made sure she labeled every MAGA Republican a purveyor of fear and hate. Good God, this woman does not have a sincere bone in her body.

My suggestion to Kamala Harris is to stay clear of New Hampshire. She cannot figure out our accent, and she thinks we are as gullible as her followers. We are not. We are not. That is not a misprint. I was echoing her habit of repeating phrases. I guess that is for emphasis, but it makes her look more ignorant than we even think she is.
