The Real Unifier is Looming in the Weeds

He is looming in the weeds looking for the rest of the swamp creatures who need to be exiled. The swamp people fear him because they know what he did in four years when he was fighting off attacks on him from every direction and what he can do to them with the wind at his back. The Democrats fear him because most of them are those same swamp people. The Democrats are the poster children for term limits. Look at Nancy Pelosi. She is about to win her seat in Congress for the 18th term. Thirty-six years serving the people of San Francisco if serving means turning a gem city of California into the most significant exporter of human excrement in the world. She has done nothing for her constituents, and seeing her Speaker’s role slipping away in November, she is campaigning to be the next Ambassador to Italy. They refuse to take their exit and give up their power.

Take away the Tweets and the brash personality, and Donald Trump may be the greatest unifier of all time on what is most important, the issues. Even those who hated him the most were happier with their savings and 401K accounts, the safety and security of a secure Border during his term. They understood we were more respected worldwide, and our Military was equipped and prepared to protect us from anyone foolish enough to threaten us. They did not understand the business-like way he handled his staff, where incompetence was not tolerated. You did the job, or you were out. The swamp is filled with people who found job security in D.C., where they could fail and never be held accountable.

I have repeatedly written that I hope Donald Trump will stay on the sidelines and not join the fray in 2024. The Presidential election will make bloodsport look like a polo match, and Trump will only fuel the angst of the Left. His presence in the race will further divide this country if possible. Trump has succeeded in endorsing conservative candidates in this midterm cycle and has a success rate of over ninety percent. I think this is where he can do his best work for the Party. It is time for him to put his ego aside and let the new generation of Conservative Republicans take the baton.

I believe the best candidate to take on any Democrat in 2024 is sitting in the Governor’s office in Tallahassee. Ron DeSantis has shown over the last four years that he is not only a fearless leader but one of incredible judgment. There is rarely a day goes by that DeSantis does not announce a significant policy decision that positively impacts the people of Florida. I think the Left cannot find a flaw in his history to take him down as hard as they try. If they had, they would have used it by now. Trump could do well to reach out to DeSantis, offer his support and endorsement, and start working to ensure DeSantis moves from Tallahassee to D.C. in 2025.

  1. Ray, sadly I must agree with you. I think The Donald was one of the greatest blessings our nation could have. His over the top brashness shined a light on the corruption and named names. He gave many the will to win where there had been none. He was a servant of the people before himsel…..however we cannot afford a term bent on revenge/ And as entitled as he is to his feelings, this is not the time. I ,too, see the dame Governor…..& Mike Pompeo….
