The liberal, anti-Trump, anti-American press is abusing their own Constitutional rights by not reporting news that would negatively impact their political position as well as by reporting Fake News that hurts the Trump/Republican position.
The liberal press has chosen to not report news that’s not to their liking, but the Constitution does not allow them to make this choice. It assumes that all of the news will be reported honestly by impartial reporters, so if they don’t report stories unflattering about Hillary Clinton, they are disobeying the constitution.
The other side of the argument is that when they lie they are not reporting any news at all, so they should be legally vulnerable for this continued practice after a year of being proven wrong on so many negative stories about Donald Trump. One example of the news that the press refuses to print is a photo released recently that shows Senator Barack Obama smiling and grinning alongside racist and Islamist Louis Farrakhan following a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus in 2005. The picture was buried and never seen by the public because the Democrats and the liberal press knew it could hurt Obama’s political career. The same could be said about negative aspects of Obamacare that the press never reported, nor did the lying press remind us of all of the times Obama lied about what the Obamacare bill would and would not include. And how about the racist and anti-American rages of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and the murderer Bill Ayers, both of whom were instrumental in Obama’s political career. With Obama surrounded by this rogue’s gallery of crooks, how else could he have turned out other than the anti-American radical he was and is?
Water Cronkite used to close each of his news reports by saying “and that’s the way it is”. But now we know that the way he reported and the things he reported were not “the way it was”, his reports were probably 50 percent lies, and today we have sources that can keep us informed to the obvious lies of the leftist press. So if we know they tell lies on a regular basis, why can’t we use the constitution to remove their right and ability to keep lying and getting away with it? I’m just asking.

I believe in the constitution and all of its provisions. Therefore, I am not advocating censorship of the press, I only advocate sensible Americans depriving liberals of their misuse and abuse of the constitution.

small “r” republican, let me say that I sympathize with your views on this. Much of the media has “lost their minds”. I struggle,without success, to find ANY objective reporting these days. But the only way that I can see to deprive the various media sources of their audiences is by market forces’ resulting in reduced viewership. As to depriving liberals of their misuse and abuse of the Constitution, this must be accomplished at the ballot box. MAGA. JS
The Constitution was written by the People (thru the several States) TO the Federal government. It is a mandate, a Set of Laws, directed AT the Federal Government. It was not written to the people and only applies to the States WHERE it specifically mentions the States.
It NEVER has the authority to take any liberty from the people, or organizations of people, NOT a part of to the Federal government (or State Governments where it does not specifically apply).
We have the right and liberty to choose to LIE. In so doing we also bear responsibility and the consequences of Lying. News organizations are Private enterprises and if we start using the Constitution against private enterprise (which the liar left already tries to do) we degrade the integrity and purpose – and the TRUE Strength – of that Constitution. To think otherwise is to misunderstand the TRUE purpose of that Constitution.
Someone once said “it is not up to Candidates to be good people; it is up to the Electorate to choose good candidates”. It might have been Jefferson – I don’t remember. But the point is that the ultimate responsibility to Righteousness is OURS – We the People.
The Lying media is at the disposal of its customers – you and me. If they are going to lie then we must STOP buying (believing) their SHAM product on a wholesale basis. There have always been Snake Oil Salesmen! There have always been simple minded Utopia-philes (lovers of “magic”) who BUY the Snake Oil. It will always be so. Therefore it is up to us to speak the Truth and shine that Light upon society.
The answer is not the misuse of the Constitution (giving the Constitution authority to control one Private Industry means it controls ALL private industry). Gideon did not use swords to defeat the Midianites; he used Torches and Trumpets. We must make the noise and sound the Truth to defeat this seemingly undefeatable army arrayed against us! It is the voices that make the Truth known and the light of He who IS the Truth that will bring these liars DOWN. You cannot tell a LIE except that there is Truth to tell the lie about. Therefore, the TRUTH is already at hand to exact ITS Justice and if it has not done so, yet; IT AIN’T OVER!
How will it do this? I don’t know… but it WILL be amazing!
