Twitter And The Left: Elon Musk Is Exposing Them, And Their Desperation Is Starting Show

I just had a horrible thought.

It was prompted by Elon Musk’s takeover offer for Twitter, and their reactions to that offer.  Among the responses being considered are a variety of things known as Poison Pills.  These are business strategies that make it less desirable for a hostile takeover agent to acquire a firm.  It is the business equivalent of making sure the winner only gets a Pyrrhic Victory

By now, it is pretty clear to everyone with any interest in politics that the 2022 midterm elections are going to be a bloodbath for Democrats.  Even if they crank up the most comprehensive fraud system in existence, they wouldn’t be able to make much of a difference in the outcome.

The question is, what are they going to do about it?

I can’t imagine that a group of people who fought tooth and nail to secure power, people who would lie, cheat, and steal to get what they wanted, would have any scruples left regarding what they might do.

In spite of being so incompetent at almost everything else, the Democrats excel at conspiracy, manipulation, and generally being disagreeable.  After all, they created the most comprehensive election fraud program in history for 2020 and boasted about it afterward.  So far, they have managed to stave off successful challenges of the election results, and only have to hold things off for a few months until the 22-month clock runs out and they can destroy all the ballot evidence.

Unfortunately for them, however, a lot of good evidence has already been accumulated – evidence that might be sufficient to create problems for them.  But that is only one of many problems they face that are turning the electorate against them.  High and increasing prices for food, gas, housing, and nearly everything else, massive illegal immigration that is only getting worse, vaccination and mask mandates, destruction of our military, support for the Taliban and Iran, and so many other destructive acts have turned even some of their strongest supporters against them.  One is inclined to attribute it all to massive stupidity and incompetence, but what if it’s not?

A political poison pill

The writing has been on the wall for them ever since Trump took office, if not before.  Unless drastic measures are taken, the Leftist agenda is doomed.  I find it difficult to believe that they haven’t been able to realize that and prepare.  What, though, could they do?

Knowing they are likely to lose control, Democrats might want to make things as difficult for Republicans as possible.  Unrestricted immigration of low skill economic migrants, destruction of domestic energy sources, reducing agricultural productivity to cause massive food shortages, unleashing violent criminals to cause mayhem and destruction across the land, economic measures to reduce the value of the Dollar and cause runaway inflation, and numerous other actions designed to create dire domestic and international situations to drop in the lap of Republicans could be exploited to make Democrats look good by comparison.  Many of the actions necessary to rectify matters would be difficult, unpopular and expensive.  Imagine the Left crafting a narrative something like this:

Trump’s incompetence, especially in his ignorant handling of the Covid crisis left a mess for the new Democrat administration to clean up.  The Biden administration worked hard to correct matters by providing vaccines, encouraging masking and social hygiene policies, and providing economic stimulus funds to make up for losses due to the destructive Trump Covid policies. 

Unfortunately, the Republicans fought these commonsense policies at every turn, hindering adoption of clean energy sources, blocking free and fair elections to preserve our Democratcy, making racist and bigoted attacks on our black and LGBT+ brothers, sisters, and others, and promoting anti-science disinformation against the Biden administration in a partisan effort to undercut Democrat efforts toward a socially just and equitable society.

 Now Republicans have taken control and are simply making things worse by increasing taxes, cancelling vital social programs, implementing repressive police tactics nationwide, turning schools into indoctrination centers for white privilege, encouraging armed vigilante bands to persecute immigrants and force them to leave their new homes, by promoting bigotry against alternative genders, and many other abuses of human rights, all to implement their racist and destructive agendas.

 It is easy to see the importance of Democrats regaining control in 2024 so that the adults in the room can work to rebuild things back better for all time to come. 

Seize the narrative

We cannot afford to let the Left control the narrative any longer.  We need to repeat over and over at every opportunity and in every way we can that the Democrat Left is responsible for the problems this Nation must face and overcome.

We must be honest about the difficulties we face, the challenges that must be overcome, and the sacrifices that will be required.  We must also continue to be hopeful in the conviction that with diligent work we can not only recover, but go beyond to new levels of individual freedom, economic prosperity, and opportunity for all.
