  1. Barney Franks should have been tried and jailed for his intentional gross misconduct and congressional  mismanagement actions, with his direct involvement in the destruction of the US Economy, as the Financial Banking Committee Chairman, which led to the Housing and Banking crisis.. He should have never been allowed to stay in Congress, to further destroy the Nation by his blatant congressional mismanagement, and the intentional forcing of banking and lending institutions, to make unqualified sub-prime and ARM home loans to unqualified borrowers, which the banking and lending firms then sold, and resold, into money market and many other financial investment packages around the world, which no one believed would be ever paid back, and thus turned the tens or hundreds of billions of dollars in financial fund packages, into financial toxic assets, which were eventually worthless, which led and culminated to not just the US , but the European and Asian world wide economic banking and housing crisis of Oct 2008, and now he is allowed to retire..  Amazing..

    1. Well said Sonny! If the ‘People’ should decide to do what the ‘People’ are allowed to do, they will protest and contest this man’s retirement benefits! You are correct, what he did is nothing short of criminal and his involvements and actions should be investigated. He got away with it because of his equally corrupt and criminal boss, Barack Obama. In fact, Obama’s entire administration should be investigated! They clearly want to be re-elected. I’m sure to cover their tracks. I’d love to be a fly on the walls of their “panic rooms” to see what evidence is being destroyed!

      1. However, you do know that once they leave Congress, they are no longer legally liable for their actions while in office. So I understand. That’s really convenient of them to give themselves an out for misconduct, fraud and theft, etc.
