STILL PRAYING FOR AMERICA

STILL PRAYING FOR AMERICA

Last November I wrote an article that I titled “A Prayer For America”. It was truly a prayer for our nation, asking God”s forgiveness for my past sinful life, asking for His mercy on the people of America who are being betrayed by politicians we thought would seek and honor Him when we voted for them, and thanking Him for the healing He has done in me since a debilitating stroke 2 1/2 years ago. Today I ask God to be with the incoming administration and guide them. Two of my pastors said corporate prayers to begin the services this weekend asking that God be with Trump, his team, and the other people in government, to lead them down the path He wants them to take. I echo those prayers;

Dear Most Loving Heavenly Father, I beseech you to help our nation going forward. Be with the Trump administrative team, guiding their every decision. I humbly ask that obama, clinton, kerry, pelosi, reid, and others who rejected you and betrayed Israel be punished individually rather than punish the nation as a whole. There areDonald Trump millions of us who are appalled at the actions of people who run this nation against our wishes and against your will. I ask your mercy on those of us opposed to abortion, homosexuality, pornography, and blasphemy committed in our names against our expressed wishes. Father, You know our hearts and know how many of us want this nation restored to what You established it to be. We voted for Donald Trump because we are tired of being lied to by career politicians who make promises to get elected them immediately renege on those promises and do evil with the authority we gave them with our good intentions. Have mercy on your people in this nation, I beg of you, as you would have had on Sodom and Gomorrah if Lot had been able to find a few righteous men. I don’t know how many of us are out here but I know we number in the hundreds of millions and we voted for Your will to be done in America as it is done in Heaven. Hear our pleas, o Lord, and grant us the deliverance we seek as people who embrace Your Word as written in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and please forgive those who will ridicule me as a “Bible thumper” for they know not what they do. Those kind of people have been deceived by the enemy and merely need to be enlightened to the truth. Let me be the vessel You use to bring them into the light through salvation by the blood of Jesus. When they ridicule me, give me the words to soothe their hatred of You and show them the love of Christ, I pray.

Lord, I know that President Trump has surrounded himself with, and nominated for high positions, people who are unapologetically followers of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I implore You to grant these fine people Your favor and insure that they are given favorable votes for confirmation by people who desire to thwart a return to the Bible and the Constitution to govern our land. The past practice of pandering to islam and sinful behavior was unacceptable to a majority of citizens and we showed our displeasure at the ballot box in November, defeating the candidate that promised more of the same in favor of the candidate that promised a drastic change of public policy. We the People voted for morality, honesty, and integrity, and we ask you to restore those things by using Your influence to guide those we elected. The theme Pastor Don Couch spoke of last week, things we have never seen in 2017, was reaffirmed Friday night by the word given by the young man whose name I can’t remember. Lord, You know who I refer to and I know Your memory is much better than mine so I ask you to bring those things quickly.

Among the things I would like to see come quickly is the manifestation of Your healing in my body. I know I am healed because You say I am. I am anxious to feel and look like the healing is complete. I know You have a master plan for me and I willingly accept Your timeframe but I also ask that Your timeframe come very soon. I have rebuffed the mental and emotional attacks of satan and will continue to do so with the strength You provide me. I will also continue in my quest to be a good example of the patient endurance Pastor Rick often mentions. I desire to be a good soldier for Your kingdom in my sphere of influence and with Your help will be successful until and after I am restored. I thank You for the progress so far and thank You that the first two diagnoses were incorrect so that Your glory can be broadcast through my recovery from the near death experience of the stroke. As I have promised before, as You restore ability I will use it to further Your kingdom through both words and actions. I give You praise and thanks for allowing me to be a part of Your plan for the salvation of others through my personal journey of faith.

Lord, thanks again for allowing me to live in this great nation and to be a part of Your kingdom. Thanks be to Jesus for His sacrifice so that I may have eternal life through His death and resurrection. All of these things I request are requested in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.
