Liberal Breyer to Retire from Supreme Court, Likely Killing Build Back Better

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer announced Wednesday that he is stepping down from the highest court in the land which will give President Biden a chance to pick his replacement.

Breyer, 83, will reportedly step down this summer and it took politicians and mainstream media only minutes to demand that Biden replace him with a black female.

“In the wake of Justice Breyer’s retirement, I want to voice my support for President Biden in his pledge to nominate the first Black woman to the Supreme Court,” said Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wa).

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Ny) was one of the first “squad” members to make race and sex the predominant characteristics for Biden’s choice.

Several other Democrats added their demands that Biden live up to his campaign promise to nominate a black woman to the Supreme Court, far too many to share.

The timing could not be worse for the Biden administration. The Senate will almost certainly flip to Republican control later this year and the confirmation process under the currently divided chamber will require every Democrat to be onboard. This will mean that Biden’s currently sidelined build back better agenda could stay that way until after the 2022 midterm elections – effectively killing it.

President Biden had much less to say about Breyer’s exit.

“There has been no announcement from Justice Breyer,” Biden says regarding the news. “Let him make whatever statement he’s gonna make, and I’ll be happy to talk about it later.”

  1. By all means, appoint a black female, not necessarily the most qualified individual. What a bunch of Cr@p.
