What a Whirlwind Week. GOP and Dems are on Different Pages
The week started with Andrew Cuomo being arrested and culminated with the Dems passing the Infrastructure Bill in the House as the carriage turned into a pumpkin. In between, we had a GOP grand slam on Tuesday and saw Tony Fauci continue to lie on Thursday. What happened, and what does it all mean?
Andrew Cuomo, the man who was called America’s Governor during the COVID Pandemic of 2020, was high on a podium, put there by a lazy media that failed to seek the truth. This week, Andrew fell hard to the ground as he was charged with groping a former aide in Albany’s Executive Mansion — a crime that could send him to jail for a year.
Andrew’s brother Chris, whose ratings are falling as hard as Andrew, may soon follow in his brother’s footsteps. The story of these two will crush a royal straight.
The GOP had a field day on Tuesday highlighted with a sweep in Virginia. The irony was a black, veteran Marine from Jamaica who won the Lt Governor’s seat only to be called a White Supremacist by Joy Reid. Blind or stupid, Reid continued her assault by calling all Republicans a danger to our Democracy. Nobody on set called her out for her comments. They simply bobbed their heads with consent.
The Republicans nearly pulled out the upset for New Jersey Governor and should have beaten Murphy, who did all he could to kill small businesses and had the highest death rate in the country during the Pandemic. They also defeated the Police killing question on the ballot in Minnesota, much to the chagrin of Ilhan Omar. The decision made her Hijab spin and sent her home for comfort from her husband/brother.
On Thursday, we had the Battle of the Heavyweights, Round 2. Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared before the Senate and locked horns with Senator Rand Paul. We have lost track of how many times these two have sparred. Paul pressed, and Fauci continued to lie about American funding of Gain of Function research in China.
Paul joined five of his colleagues to send a letter to Fauci this week condemning his support of the killing of dogs for research projects. Part of the letter reads:
“Dr. Fauci, we write to express deep concern about recent reports of inhumane experiments on beagle puppies conducted by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the cost to taxpayers of $1.68 million,” the Senators wrote. “Even more troubling, this testing appears to have been elective on the part of NIAID, as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has said it ‘does not mandate that human drugs be studied in dogs.”
Finally, on Friday night, just shy of the stroke of midnight, Nancy Pelosi flexed her muscles and forced a vote on the House version of the $1.5 Trillion Infrastructure Bill. Five members of the squad voted against the Bill, but thirteen Republicans voted for the overpriced Bill. This bill still has to go back to the Senate, where its fate is unsure.
Except for the Infrastructure Legislation, the Republicans came out on top this week, and America sent a clear message to Democrats. We do not want your big spending, and we do enjoy our freedom. Democrats did not hear or chose to ignore the word of the people. They do this at their own peril. Not only did Republicans score big, but Democrats have given them soundbites and videos to use in every campaign in 2022.
2022 should be a Red Tsunami, but Republicans have to execute, and they best have the plans ready to solve the problems created by the Biden Administration. These problems are many. Each is an opportunity to succeed in the Republican quest to regain control of the House and Senate.
