Is AOC as Shallow as She Seems

Not too long after AOC was elected to Congress in 2018 to represent the 14th Congressional District of New York, she gave us a civics lesson.

During a conference call with the leftist political group Justice Democrats, Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) revealed that she has no idea what the three branches of the U.S. government are.

“If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — Uh, rather all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House.”

AOC has been in this country for her entire life. She spent four years attending Boston University, where she probably spent around $240,000 to get her degree from the College of Arts and Sciences. Since graduation, she was tending bar in New York until elected. It was a poorly spent quarter-million dollars…but she did get into Congress. She is also the de facto head of the Squad, which puts her in control of a group of equally misplaced politicians.

This week the Democrats find themselves in a civil war over the $3.5 Trillion spending bill—the Moderates against the Progressives with Senators Sinema and Manchin calling the shots from the middle. With the Senate split 50-50, these two Senators are primed to determine the outcome of this wish-list bill. Decorum was lost in this battle when AOC openly mocked Senator Manchin. When a microphone was placed in front of her face, AOC took shots at Manchin like the lightweight rookie she is. She was out of line, but that is AOC.

Joe Manchin is a Senator from West Virginia. He has also been the Governor and Attorney General. AOC has been a bartender and an opportunist. If nothing else, he deserves respect, especially from someone like AOC, who has little to show for her short time in Washington.

The problem with Washington politics is you are expected to check your individual beliefs at the Capitol steps. If you are a Democrat, you are expected to be a mouthpiece for Pelosi and Schumer. If you have a difference of opinion, you are a speed bump. You are an enemy standing in the way of the Progressive agenda. It is not how the system was designed, and it is what our forefathers warned us of. I applaud Manchin and Sinema for being true to their principles and the wants and desires of their constituents.

The one thing that concerns me is what might go into a compromise resolution to the roadblock holding us the reconciliation bill. The number should not matter if the content is not in line with what you feel is best for the country. Whether the cost of the bill is $3.5 or $1.5 trillion should not matter if the content is not suitable for your constituents.

Biden continues to lie to the American people about this bill. He holds onto the false claim that the bill does not cost anything and that he wrote the bill. This bill is thousands of pages. If he wrote it, he plagiarized it from someone. He has nearly every Democrat in Congress repeating his talking points. Such an obedient group, but then again, they know where their campaign financing comes from.

AOC and her Squad want you to think they are champions of the little people and that Biden is onboard with them. They are champions of themselves feeding on the little people. They are driven to change America into a Socialistic country, but I do not think they are wise enough to look into the future. What they are working to create is a failure. History would show them that, but they would have to do the work to see that. Work is not something they understand.
