Regarding Russia’s Expulsion of American Diplomats

Russias action today to expel American diplomats marks a further deterioration in the United States-Russia relationship. The expulsion of undeclared Russian intelligence officers by the United States and more than two dozen partner nations and NATO allies earlier this week was an appropriate response to the Russian attack on the soil of the United Kingdom. Russias response was not unanticipated, and the United States will deal with it.

Full transcript of the gaggle HERE and excerpts below.

On Hope Hicks Departure:

Hope was a tremendous leader for the team Shes someone who has been with the president since the early days. She was smart of a team that was very small during the campaign. Since being in the administration she has provided countless amounts of advice and worked with all of you day in and day out.

On incoming Veterans Affairs Secretary Ronny Jackson:

As I said earlier the president has full confidence in Adm. Jackson. The president did have some early individuals that he was looking at but continuously went back to Dr. Jackson to fulfill this role as VA secretary and ultimately decided that his health care experienced his distinguished career in the medical profession was something that would be beneficial at the VA. At the end of the day as I said earlier the status quo was not working. We need somebody who understands the health care system.

He has bipartisan respect. He knows what soldiers need on the battlefield and what they need when they come home as veterans. The president has full confidence in his pick and trusts he will be able to give veterans the care they deserve.

Walters also said that Jackson’s nomination, a Rear Admiral in the Navy, wasn’t in any way an indication that Trump intended to privatize the VA.

On Stormy Daniels:

The president has spoken about it previously Sarah has addressed this multiple times at the podium and we do not have further comment at this time.
