The Twitter Censorship Will Be an Unending Assault on Free Speech

I used to like Twitter. When I first started this website, Twitter was one of the best ways to share the word about new articles, book reviews, and my take on current events. Unfortunately, that all changed when the Twitter censorship started.

Before about 2018, Twitter was something of a Wild West. Within reason, people posted what they wanted and were always free to share links, pictures, or short opinions about any subject. While some people were banned or punished, that was generally because they were spamming or posting horrendous content, such as pornography or violent videos.

Then the Twitter censorship began. Alex Jones was disappeared. Various pro-Trump accounts were suspiciously suspended. Then, as the 2020 election began and it became clear that Trump had a fighting chance against Biden and the establishment, Twitter started adding notes to posts, claiming that those warnings were necessary to “contextualize” information. Meanwhile, more and more accounts kept disappearing, shut out of the public square Twitter provides for unknown reasons.

The real Twitter censorship began when the New York Post published the Hunter Biden emails and the story surrounding them, a story that exposed the corruption of Joe Biden and the rest of the Biden Crime Family. That story had groundbreaking implications. The American public could finally see what Biden and his despicable son were up to.

Until it couldn’t, thanks to Twitter censorship. The story could not be shared, the Post’s account was locked, and the accounts of many patriots who shared it were suspended.

Afterward, especially after the election was over, the Twitter censorship grew even more intense. Thousands of accounts, including mine, were suspended for sharing stories on the suspicious nature of the election. Trump was kicked off Twitter for daring to say that the election had been neither free nor fair. Twitter launched an all-out blitzkrieg on freedom of speech.

That was when I finally started calling for conservatives to boycott the Big Tech oligopolies that are silencing conservatives and waging a continual war on free speech.

However, while some patriots have bought into the idea, not everyone has. Far too many conservatives still think that the Twitter censorship will, at some point, end. They think they it’s okay for them to keep their accounts because Twitter might change its mind and no longer censor conservatives.

That is a mistake. Twitter will probably not change its mind and stop censoring us. And, even if it does, it has already shown its true, anti-freedom agenda. It doesn’t want to create a community where you can speak freely. Twitter doesn’t want conservatives to use its platform to share their ideas and spread conservative values. For now, Dorsey might be content to make a bit extra money by letting a few of the pacified ones continue to use it, but that is just for now. If the time ever again comes where Twitter could win an election for Democrats by silencing and censoring conservatives, then it will do so.

Dorsey himself admitted to that. In fact, he admitted more. In this interview, Jack Dorsey explains how he wants to expand Twitter’s censorship operation rather than roll it back. He doesn’t care at all about free speech. He just wants to bludgeon you into thinking the same way he does.

I hate using YouTube and try not to, but it was the only way I could find to embed the Project Veritas video of Dorsey calling for yet more censorship.

If you don’t want to watch the full video, here is what Dorsey said:

We are focused on one account [@realDonaldTrump] right now, but this is going to be much bigger than just one account, and it’s going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks, and go on beyond the inauguration,” he said.

So, the focus is certainly on this account [@realDonaldTrump] and how it ties to real-world violence. But also, we need to think much longer-term around how these dynamics play out over time. I don’t believe this is going away anytime soon.

That’s right. The Twitter censorship is not just about Trump, Hunter Biden, or election fraud. It’s about silencing conservatives for the long term. When describing censorship, his exact words are “I don’t believe this is going away anytime soon.”

It will be unending because it’s not about “protecting the public” or whatever other boilerplate phrases they use. Twitter is okay with Iran calling for genocide on its platform. But it’s not okay with conservatives expressing their viewpoints. It’s about you and your beliefs, not whatever the specific issue of the day is. Twitter censorship won’t go away with Trump out of office.

Don’t be deceived by the people that want you to remain on Twitter. They have a significant audience on that platform and want to keep it, which is fully understandable, but they’re being shortsighted.

If we continue using Twitter, things won’t go well for us. Our words won’t register because Twitter will stay profitable. It will continue to pay lip service to the idea of free speech but will be, in reality, doing everything in its power to silence you.

It is only by reducing the number of active Twitter accounts that we can successfully fight back. That will hit them in the pocketbook and either a competitor like Parler will become the more attractive alternative, or Twitter will have to permanently return its policies to their original free state. Either one would be a good option.

So, do what you know you should. Delete your Twitter account and commit yourself to never using it again. The Twitter censorship will be unending if you don’t.
