Loyalty, Betrayal, and God

There are a few of us who believe in loyalty. We remain loyal to God… and to those we love…and to our country and to those individuals who courageously have stood up for us.

The sad reality is many who proclaim virtues and values which are good are in fact, weaklings and secret enemies. They will mouth the words of support only as long as it serves their agenda, and they will turn on you as soon as the situation changes. This is common; the wicked often masquerade as people of goodwill.

All who are truly righteous (seeking to do what is right) will experience the pain of betrayal. Jesus had Judas…and any individual who seeks to do what is good in this world will have their Judas(es).

I firmly believe every Judas will receive dire spiritual consequences for the evil they do. As a human being, I want to see it happen…however, I realize in some situations I may never be made aware of the damning repercussions such despicable scoundrels will receive. Any person who chooses the lie and all its many examples in deceitful treacherous behavior will be held accountable. A scoundrel will betray for some seeming advantage – an advantage which will be fleeting.

To betray a good individual or country is the epitome of despicable behavior – and often it comes from those who identify themselves as Christians. Be not deceived – there is no way a man who betrays those who trust him has the love of God living in him, on the contrary, he is living and doing his work in/for the spirit of Satan. To betray the righteous is to betray God, for it is God’s will that we always remain faithful and supportive of those who have trusted us, enduring whatever worldly repercussions might come. A righteous man will never abandon those who have placed their trust in him. And God will avenge those who come with evil plots against those who were anointed to do His work. Whenever you suffer and whenever you see those who are good suffering because they are being cheated and lied about, do not despair. God is not mocked!

To true Christians, I remind you to stay strong in your faith. God sees all. To individuals who will never abandon anyone they’ve claimed to support and love, to those individuals who have suffered the sharp pain of being betrayed…I share and recommend you ponder these Scriptures:

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. (Proverbs 19:5)

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee… (Genesis 12:3)

Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. (Micah 7:5-7)

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. (Psalm 109:4)

For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him. (Jeremiah 20:10)

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. (Proverbs 17:17)

Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint. (Proverbs 25:19)

A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. (Proverbs 6:12-15)

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19)

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. (Psalm 34:21)

They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought. (Job 8:22)

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness… (Isaiah 5:20)

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. (John 3:20)

…all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)
