Physician to the President Dr. Sean Conley udpates the nation Saturday on President Trump’s condition while under treatment for COVID-19.
Dr. Conley said that the president presented Friday with a light cough and some nasal congestion – both conditions have since improved.
Dr. Sean Dooley, his pulmonary critical care specialist said that the president is not on oxygen nor is he having any trouble breathing. During morning rounds, Dooley said that Trump told them that he felt like he could walk out of the hospital today.
According to members of the medical team treating the president, he first received an anti-body treatment on Thursday, then the anti-viral Remdesivir through an I.V. on Friday and they are continuing to administer it today.
Trump “has been fever-free for the last 24 hours,” Dr. Sean Conley told the media. “He has not received any [oxygen] today.”
“All indicators are that he’ll remain off of oxygen going forward,” he added.
The president is in good spirits, in the hands of trained and capable health care professionals and is expected to continue a quick recovery.
