McConnell: Mob won’t intimidate the Senate
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that Republican Senators were not and will not be intimidated by the leftist mobs that have invaded their homes and offices.
“We’ve been under assault,” McConnell said on The Ingraham Angle on Friday. “They’ve come to our homes!”
“Everybody decided to stand up to the mob, and not be intimidated by these people,” he added.
The Hart Senate building and Capitol Hill have been under constant attack by shrieking protesters hoping to prevent Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation through sheer force.
The Senate will vote Saturday afternoon on the final confirmation of Kavanaugh and protesters have vowed to go after members of Congress during the day. Capitol Hill police have closed off the Senate Office Building and the Senate Chamber to the public.
Editor’s Note: This post was updated to reflect confirmation by Capitol Hill police that all Senate-related buildings are closed to the public.
