Thousands March For Life Across The Country, And The MSM Ignores It… Again
In case you missed it, there were anti-abortion protests around the country yesterday, and “thousands” – or more accurately described hundreds of thousands, if not millions – of Americans participated. You didn’t know? You hadn’t heard? That’s not surprising, because the left and their accomplices in the media don’t want you to know. They don’t want you to hear.
Every January, for decades, Americans around the country descend on frigid Washington D.C. to make their Pro-Life voices heard, or perhaps opt to join in on a smaller, local protest. And every year, the mainstream media does everything they can to ignore the Right To Life March. This year is no exception, as we saw with yesterday’s coverage.
Media outlets offered limited, tempered coverage, and if you look hard enough right now, you mind find mention of the Right To Life March from Friday. If you’re looking at a newspaper, don’t look at the front page, turn towards the back. If you’re on an outlet’s website, scroll down, way down, and it could show up. And if you were watching the MSM news channels on TV last night, and hoping to see the faces of people you know participating, you didn’t see what you were hoping for. Not because you missed, but because there was no coverage.
Most of the major publishers/stations/channels offered small articles or “oh, by the way” mentions, not much more. Also, in most of those cases, they try to apply their liberal spin to the discussion. Consider NPR, who’s article yesterday asserts, “Polling consistently shows that a majority of Americans support the right to an abortion.” What NPR and the rest of the left’s media won’t tell you is that a vast majority of Americans – a number that Fox News pegs at 71% – favor restrictions on abortion. And they certainly don’t want you to know that that number is growing; consistently.
Ask yourself a question: If hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Americans had trekked to Washington and local gatherings yesterday in sub-freezing temperatures to stand up against police brutality, or mythical systemic racism, or voter ID laws, do you think we might have heard something about it in the mainstream media?
And considering that in years with warm temperatures there have been over a half-million Pro-Life marchers in DC alone, do you think the media would give an accurate, precise account of the number of attendees, instead of just saying “thousands?” [Note that in 2013, an estimated 650,000 Pro-Life marchers attended the rally in DC, alone.]
Don’t be discouraged. The voices for life are loud and getting louder. The number of people opposing abortion is growing steadily. Science is on our side, as the arguments that a fetus is a human life are increasingly undeniable. Logic is on our side, as the pro-abortion debate is becoming evermore illogical. God is on our side as we seek only to protect and defend his precious creations. And while the media continues to stick their fingers in their ears and pretend they don’t hear us, it won’t be long before they can no longer ignore us.
