The ides of March brought us lurching toward tyranny and in the form of an obscene level of attempted government control of our lives. The pretext for it all was a virus with a .4% fatality rate. according to the flawed CDC.
That statistic doesn’t reflect the widely reported pressure and financial incentives to inflate the statistics as to ramp up fear. Yet most people continue to comply.
Medical professionals who have been elected to no public office still can’t agree on whether wearing masks in public is even recommended let along required, yet most people continue to comply.
It’s not as if we didn’t already know that Leftist politicians and un-elected bureaucrats had such designs on growing their own power in the form of growing government. Their policies have illustrated it again and again.
The likelihood of any government official advocating or voting to relinquish their own power is like a highway toll with an expiration date. Both are as rare as hen’s teeth.
Then came the riots. The very same political “leaders” who demanded that we stay home for our own good, incited and cheered massive protests that led to violence, destruction, and even death.
Didn’t that expose once and for all, the farce of their lockdowns, the cynical lie of their “concern and compassion” for cities, citizens and the rule of law? They are still the naked emperor, clinging desperately to the false narrative of the coronavirus as they continue to micromanage control of restaurants and public places as though they have any credibility left. Yet, most people continue to comply.
What reasonable person could take those demagogues and dictators seriously after the swarming crowds and the wanton destruction of numerous American cities–all of them controlled by Democrats?
Incomprehensibly, the fraud and the fallacy of the coronavirus continues to be hammered piped into us from speakers in grocery stores, highway billboards and TV commercials, “Stay safe, Stay Home, Save a life!” Yet, most people continue to comply.
Even conservative people and conservative groups continue to claim that they’re merely trying to show “respect” by wearing masks and accepting governmental edicts and limitations on gatherings. How is it respectful to bow to what you know is a lie? Taking the path of least resistance in this case invariably leads to being prevented to resisting in the future.
Acquiescence with unconstitutional laws emboldens those in power to impose more unconstitutional laws. Think of it as the “Broken Windows Theory” in reverse. When citizens offer no push back and demand no accountability of lawless lawmakers, we can count on those lawmakers to impose more severe and lawless laws. That’s what they have done and are continuing to do. Why? Because most people continue to comply.
