Possible storyline for Finn Balor ahead of WWE Summerslam

Major WWE News recently broke out surrounding former Universal Champion Finn Balor, who is reportedly set for a hiatus from WWE following SummerSlam 2019. However, in the lead-up to ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer’, Balor is confirmed to face Bray Wyatt in the latter’s first match after being repackaged as ‘The Fiend’.

Since losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules to Shinsuke Nakamura, Balor has being tormented by ‘The Fiend’ both on WWE RAW and on WWE SmackDown Live. The former Eater of Worlds first made theWWE News when he attacked Balor on the RAW after Extreme Rules after his loss to Samoa Joe.

Following the assault to Balor on WWE RAW, the former Universal Champion challenged ‘The Fiend’ to a match at WWE SummerSlam 2019 which the latter gladly accepted. On the 30th July 2019 edition of SmackDown Live, Finn Balor was in singles action against former World Champion Dolph Ziggler. Midway through the match, ‘The Fiend’ once again made his presence known, as he appeared on SmackDown Live for the very first time, haunting Balor and eventually allowing Ziggler to pick up the win over him.

With ‘The Fiend’ haunting Finn Balor every now and then on both WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown, this might be the perfect time for Balor to unveil his darker persona, that is, ‘The Demon King’.

However, despite several reports playing down a possible appearance of ‘The Demon’ at WWE SummerSlam, maybe Balor could potentially provide the WWE Universe with a shocker and equal the odds by unleashing ‘The Demon King’ in his feud against ‘The Fiend’.

Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt have a long history with each other. Two years ago, at WWE SummerSlam 2017, Balor and Wyatt locked horns at The Biggest Party of The Summer when Balor brought back ‘The Demon’ and defeated Wyatt pretty comprehensively. Later in the year, at TLC 2017, Finn Balor was once again slated to go one-on-one against Bray Wyatt but on this occasion, ‘The Demon King’ was ready to step into the ring against Wyatt’s alter-ego Sister Abigail. However, that match was eventually nixed after Wyatt was replaced due to illness by ‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles.

Two years later, Wyatt and Balor have come full circle again with ‘The Fiend’ haunting the former Universal Champion. Whereas, back in 2017, it was ‘The Demon’ who had tormented and got the better off Wyatt.

With ‘The Fiend’ targetting the likes of Kurt Angle and Mick Foley as well, Finn Balor definitely has a big task ahead of him come SummerSlam 2019, as the former Universal Champion will look to pull off an upset of a lifetime against ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt.

WWE SummerSlam 2019 takes place on the 11th of August at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada and by the end of the show, expect major WWE News featuring both Balor and Wyatt to make the headlines.WWE RAW Results will also be one of the major talking points in the wrestling world, given ‘The Fiend’ has been the hot topic of conversation in WWE.
