Whining Liberals Blast ‘Death Wish’ Remake as Alt-Right Racist Propaganda

The remake of the 1974 Charles Bronson classic revenge flick “Death Wish” is already being decried by liberal snowflakes who claim that the movie represents racism, fascism and glorifies the Alt-Right.

The contemporary version swaps out the grimy mean streets of New York City in the 1970’s in favor of crime-ridden Chicago where the body count from gang violence rises daily.

Bruce Willis steps into the role made famous by Bronson who took the law into his own hands after his wife and daughter were raped by thugs and didn’t stop there but instead became a hero to citizens by killing the bad guys who were preying on them.

One of the more scathing attacks on the updated “Death Wish” comes via GQ which is the same media company that allows the unhinged Keith Olbermann rant insanely against President Donald Trump and comes very close to inciting sedition against the government.

In moving the setting to Chicago, a city where gun violence is both well-documented and highly politicized, and setting the trailer to “Back in Black”, the remake tips its hand: 2017’s Death Wish comes off as a work of cowardice and opportunism, piggybacking off hard-right fear-mongering and a government that’s completely and utterly disingenuous in its rhetoric about violent crime when nationwide, crime rates—despite rises in cities thanks to mass shootings like the Pulse massacre in Orlando—remain historically low. This stands in stark contrast to the state of violent crime in the U.S. during the ’70s, a decade that did see rising crime as well as some of the most notorious killers in the nation’s history.

The new Death Wish has an entirely different context, one where guns are routinely turned on black citizens by white supremacists and white cops, where mass shootings regularly occur and lawmakers refuse to do anything about it, where guns in the hands of the populace is not a rarity but arguably an epidemic. It takes a profound level of either ignorance or craven, willful opportunism to think that this is a moment to make a film about a white man’s rage channeled through the barrel of a gun.

Like the first “John Wick” movie, this looks like a righteous crusade against the scum of the earth. While the Keanu Reeves flick was short on plot – a former assassin coming out of retirement to avenge the murder of his dog by Russian thugs – it was a cathartic flick that was just perfect to unwind to after a particularly grueling day at the office.

The updated “Death Wish” looks to be along the same lines and personally, I can’t wait to see it no matter how much the limp-wristed sissies on the left whine about the film’s message.

If they are this upset about the release of the freaking trailer, you’ll have to scrape them off the ceiling with a spatula when the film comes out later this year.
