During the 60’s protest singer Barry McGuire came out with a hit song called “The Eve of Destruction” describing all the apocalyptic world happenings at the time. Could it be we are there again with what is happening now between us and North Korea, Iran and Russia?
President Trump inherited the North Korean issue, but instead CNN, who hated Trump from the start, wants to blame him for the new aggressive actions by N.K. If they are looking to blame anyone, blame FDR for handing North Korea to the Soviets at Yalta. Or, how about blaming President Truman for firing MacArthur after the general defeated North Korea to the Yalu River at Manchuria. Or one could blame President Eisenhower for negotiating a phony peace treaty, where North Korea was not punished for starting the war invading the south and for torturing and murdering thousands of American and UN forces.
When Bill Clinton was president he made a deal with North Korea and gave them eight billion dollars to cease their nuclear program and use the money for nuclear energy for its’ people and the world will be safer with their nuclear arms being dismantled. They gladly took the money and said “O.K. Bill we agree.” But they broke that treaty and continued with their nuclear missile program until today we have Kim Jong-un threatening the world with his nuclear strikes for putting sanctions on him saying he is capable of hitting Alaska and Hawaii and next year will be able to hit New York and Chicago. He has shot test missiles towards Japan and is threatening Guam now.
Trump has our military outside Korea with nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers around him and is putting pressure on China to convince Kim to stop his aggression. Trump has said if Kim doesn’t stop and continues to make threats against us and our allies he’ll be met with fire and fury such as the world has never seen. Time will soon tell.
When Barack Obama was president he made a similar deal with Iran giving them 150 billion dollars for them to use for energy and stop their nuclear program. They were allowed to still spin their centrifuges for nuclear energy. This was another naive approach to appeasement with our enemies. Iran is the No.1 state sponsor of terrorism and we give them 150 billion dollars and are supposed to believe them when they say they will dissolve their nuclear program?
Scratch beneath the surface and it quickly becomes apparent that what unites the left and Islamists and now North Korea is hate: hatred of the West. They hate America, they hate Europe, and they would like to destroy Israel. What they both seek is total control and total decimation of the West. The left claims it opposes bigotry. Yet Islam and communism are the most bigoted ideologies that exist today, are given a pass.
There is nothing else which better exposes the modern left’s rank hypocrisy, their disregard for the facts, and their hatred for the West and all it stands for than their attitude to Islam.
Every principle the left claims to uphold, from rights for women to gay liberation, even diversity itself, dies on the altar of its sycophantic defense of Islam.
Enter Hillary with her selling of 20% of our uranium to Russia for 145 million dollars which is a kickback to her foundation and members who helped with the sale. Uranium is used to make nuclear weapons and Russia deals with Iran. They could sell that uranium to Iran who wants it to make nukes to use against us and Isreal or use it to make nukes to use against us.
As Barry McGuire’s song says, “And you tell me over and over and over again you don’t believe we’re on the eve of destruction.”
