Democrats behave like trained seals: Some progressive boss gives them the weekly party line and they are expected to appear on all of the cable channels and write articles for the NYT and WaPo to push that party talking point. During the Bush administration, they suddenly, and for the next few days, wailed about the lack of people possessing “gravitas” who were appointed to positions in the new Bush administration. A few weeks ago, the line was that Trump is kissing up to Kim Jong-un. Then, last week they started the push to disband ICE because this necessary organization was being too successful in keeping very bad people out of our country.
The lead voice in this insistence that we open our nation to a literal invasion of biblical proportions, allowing anyone in who wants to be here, seems to be led by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Her latest phrasing is that ICE has become too independent and too harsh in its law enforcement so we need to disband this group and form another, weaker group, to take its place enforcing immigration laws.
What the good Senator seems to be missing is that ICE is just following, and trying to enforce, laws passed by Congress. If we were to hire a new group, they’d follow the same laws, as long as Trump is president, and they’d do the same things to protect Americans because it‘s the law. The problem that the Democrats are missing is that they don’t like the laws as currently written, and if that’s the case why are they not assembling to rewrite the laws pertaining to immigration and then ICE would have new laws to follow and their behavior would be different. But ICE’s current behavior is the responsibility of Congress because that’s where laws come from.
But to shout insults at ICE agents and to suggest chasing their children down at their schools and frightening them, personalizes the leftist’s frustration at not being able to get new, dependent welfare recipients into the country to vote Democrat in the next election, so they stick with the easy way to build a butt-boy, via verbal abuse and fierce intimidation, because they know that they would never be able to get laws with a lower severity of enforcement, even if they tried. President Trump was put in the White House by the American public mainly because he swore to enforce immigration laws and to keep the invaders out of America.
So Senator Gillibrand and her leftist cohorts are fools and liars for the positions they are taking, because the American people are dead set against liberal open borders policies. We want our borders blocked, and we want people who are already here illegally, sent home.
