Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis met with Lithuanian Minister of Defense Raimundas Karoblis today at the Pentagon to reaffirm the defense relationship between the United States and Lithuania.
The leaders discussed a broad range of defense issues, including implementating key NATO Summit outcomes and cooperating on regional security issues like cyber and other hybrid threats. They agreed to continue deterring Russian malign activities and increasing interoperable capabilities.
Secretary Mattis thanked Minister Karoblis for his country’s increased support for NATO’s Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan.
