Watch: President Trump and The First Lady host Halloween at the White House
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump host a Halloween event at the White House Sunday evening.
At the beginning of the event, the Air Force force Rolling Strings played Harry Potter, Phantom of the Opera and the Adams Family, among other spooky tunes, as dozens of military families and local school children dressed as witches, goblins, stormtroopers and more were lined up for trick or treating with the president and first lady.
The first couple emerged from the White House around 5:42 as the Air Force band played Michael Jacksons Thriller.
Several agencies and departments participated. NASA officials had a moon carpet set up and robotics displays were set up by First Lego Robotics League from the Education Department. The Agriculture Department had a tractor on display, Health and Human Services brought an ambulance, and the Children were able to see the presidential limo, The Beast.
President and Mrs. Trump handed out commemorative candy such as Hershey’s chocolate bars and Twizzlers in special boxes designed with President Trump’s signature.
