RNC Convention Key Takeaways, Day 4

The 2020 Republican National Convention capped off their four-night “talk” with Americans with the theme “Land of Greatness.” A recap of all nightly themes is as follows: “Land of Promise,” “land of Opportunity,” “Land of Heroes,” and ending on “Land of Greatness.” Sorry media and Democrat allies but the Republican party loves and defends its country and its people, and just spent the last week heralding so. Any narrative that the Republicans painted a dark, dystopian, depressing, non-unifying vision is spin and not truthful.

Night four was flawless in execution and frankly dazzling. The locations remained the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium for the podium speeches, The South Lawn and exterior of the White House, and additional video montages that were slick and highly effective and well worth watching. Compared to the RNC’s 2016 convention, the 2020s were creative and more gratifying, and they managed to offset the loss of a massive live audience by keeping the energy level high with smaller crowds. To catch the vibe, check out this brief copulation of the spectacular Fireworks (the best we have ever seen) celebration and Operatic performances.

The Day Sessions came to a close.

Evening Session

  • Opening Introductory “Make America Great Again,” narrated by Jon Voight.
  • Evangelical leader  Rev.Franklin Graham delivers prayer. Watch the prayer here.
  • Pledge of Allegiance delivered by children  Madelyn and Jackson Kratzer ( Military families). Watch the pledge here.
  • House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. A video montage of American history is woven in and out of his speech. McCarthy opens with this line, “As Americans, we carve our own destiny. As Americans, we look forward, not backward.” He proceeds to review our ancestor’s fortitude and achievements for our country and declares no one has done more to protect it than President Trump. He listed Republicans and Trump’s successes for the American people before an unprecedented virus struck and vowed Trump would rebuild the economy again. He said we will defeat the Virus because President Trump unleashed a Marshall Plan for MainStreet. He pointed out Biden/Harris thinks the government is what matters, but it is you that matters. He delivered a cogent defense of Trump and why taking back the House was vital.

  • Ja’Ron Smith, the deputy assistant to the President, gave an impassioned and motivating accounting of his life and relationship with the President. He looked into the camera and said, “the media don’t show faces like his parents’ when they talk about struggling Americans.” He talked about how empathetic the President is and what Trump has done for Black communities. Smith’s speech was galvanizing.

  • Video Montage of Voters who had changed their minds and now support Trump.
  • Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., is a former Democrat who switched parties during the President’s impeachment. Drew said during the Impeachment proceedings that Democrats told him to fall in line or lose reelection. “Listen, I’m from South Jersey, and you better come at me with more than loud words and empty threats. I voted no on impeachment,” he says.” Democrats had become less accepting of American traditions and exceptionalism and went from being liberal to radical and were no longer about just raising taxes, and they were also for open borders,” said the Congressman. Watch his speech here.
  • Video Montage on trusting Trump on the economy from a mothers view
  •  Stacia Brightmon, in a military apprenticeship program graduate, shared a story of personal triumph from being homeless to now providing for her family. This gained success that she credits hard work and an opportunity provided to her by President Trump’s policies and Ivanka Trump’s implementation of those programs. The Texas Workforce Commission about S&B’s Women in Construction Earn-While-You-Learn apprenticeship program is what she referred to, and she urged all listening to reach out and learn about ladders of opportunities this President has implemented for those who need help. This woman expressed such dignity and pride in herself, her country, and her President, and despite nerves stepped up to offer her authentic journey for encouragement and inspiration. This was a beautiful testimony about non-victim-hood and the dignity of work.

  • Dan Scavino, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Director of Social Media, delivered a staunch defense and support for his friend and mentor of 30 years. “All these years later, there is a part of me that still feels a sense of wonder every day when I consider the journey we have taken together — and taken with so many of you watching tonight,” he says. “Because my personal story with Donald Trump, in so many ways, is your story, too. He saw potential in me. A spark.”
  • “The possibility that I could be more, do more, and achieve more than even I thought was possible. That’s how he views this country, too. We have all just scratched the surface of what we can do together,” He concluded by saying if there is one thing viewers take away from him tonight, “it is this–President Trump is a kind and decent man. I wish you could be at his side with me to see his endless kindness to everyone he meets.” If you do not think you understand what makes Trump tick, this is the speech you need to hear.

  • Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky – the speech was a pitch to keep the Senate mostly and support for Trump. He said, “Democrats want to defund the police and take away your Second Amendment rights. They want to give free health care to illegal immigrants and do not care about offering protection to the unborn. They do not care about improving middle-class American’s lives.” McConnell pointed out Democrats push to make DC a state saying,” two more liberal Senators, we can’t undo the damage they will do.” Watch his speech here.
  • Video Montage honoring American Athletes
  • Dana White, President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, delivered a high energy, full-throat-ed support for President Trump’s COVID response as a team member on a private sector working group to solve problems in the sports industry. Using Biden’s phrase, he said, “C’mon America! Defunding these vital positions is not the answer. These first responders have always stepped up for us.” Viscerally this speech was a pleasant surprise and got your attention and held it till the end. Watch his speech here.

  • Sean Reyes Utah Attorney General introduced himself by reviewing his roots – Hawaiian, Filipino, Japanese and Spanish ancestry. He pointed to President Trump’s commitment to stop human trafficking, saying, “My father demonstrated his warrior spirit over 50 years ago fighting a dictator in his homeland–the Philippines. Barely escaping with his life, he started anew in America,” he says. “He arrived with nothing but faith, determination, and a willingness to work hard. He lived the American Dream, building businesses, a family, and seeing me become Utah’s first minority statewide elected official. Today, I channel my warrior roots by battling human trafficking. President Donald Trump is a fierce warrior against human trafficking.” He goes on to discuss the many actions Trump has taken. Watch his speech here.
  • Debbie Flood owns a small foundry and machine shop in Wisconsin. She came out swinging prosecuting Biden’s long political career and support of China and describes losing 50% of her business to China in the mid-2000s.” At the time, Joe Biden was a senator,” she says. “He voted to normalize trade with China and helped pave the way for them to join the WTO, even though they were hurting American companies like ours.” Trump was elected and changed everything,” He actually fought for American workers and American craftsmen,” she says. “He actually cared about bringing back those three beautiful words, Made in America.” Watch her speech here.
  • Video Montage of promises kept to Housing Development issues.
  • Ann Dorn, widow of retired St. Louis Police Capt. David Dorn, who was killed in June during George Floyd protests. She delivers a gut-wrenching message to the “Social Justice Warriors” and all Americans.” My hope is that having you re-live it with me now will help shake this country from this nightmare we’re witnessing in our cities and bring about positive, peaceful change,” she says. “How did we get to this point where so many young people are so callous and indifferent towards human life? This isn’t a video game where you can commit mayhem and then hit reset and bring all the characters back to life. David is never coming back to me. He was murdered by people who didn’t know, and just didn’t care.” Do not skip over this video, and it is that compelling.

  • Ben Carson, Housing and Urban Development Secretary (Neurosurgeon). He opens with, “Our hearts go out to the Blake family, and the other families who’ve been impacted by the tragic events in Kenosha.” Carson follows with, “In order to succeed in change, we must first come together in the love of our fellow citizens.” He added, “Many on the other side love to incite division by claiming that President Trump is a racist. They could not be more wrong,” Carson says. “Years ago, Jesse Jackson gave Donald Trump an award for the economic opportunities he created for Black people. In Palm Beach, Florida, Donald Trump led the crusade to allow blacks and Jews into private clubs and resorts. One of the first things he did as President brought the Office of Historically Black Colleges and Universities into the White House so that it could get proper attention and financial support. Before the pandemic, African American unemployment was at an all-time low.” Carson details the recipe for maturity and responsible citizenship. Do yourself a favor and use the next six minutes to enrich your soul by listening to this wise patriot.

  • Patrick Lynch Police Benevolent Association of New York City President. Right out of the gate, he makes this chilling statement,” Like cops across this country, and we are staring down the barrel of a public safety disaster,” he says. He says people in the community ask him every day why so many people are getting murdered. He says, “The answer is simple: The Democrats have walked away from us. Democratic politicians have surrendered our streets and institutions.” He says Democrats have passed laws that have made it impossible for police officers to work without their hands tied behind their backs. “The message is: criminals have the right to resist arrest. The message is: if you victimize a vulnerable person, the justice system will not hold you accountable,” he says. “The criminals have heard that message, and they are taking full advantage. We must stop that message. We must expose the left’s lies about police officers and the job we do.” Historically Police Unions have been a reliable constituent base for Democrats, so this could be a dramatic shift in the upcoming election.

  • Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani prosecuted the policies of Democrats and exposed their hypocrisy. He speaks to the recent waves of riots after Floyd’s death and accuses BLM, Antifa, and Democrats of hijacking peaceful protest into vicious and brutal riots because a “unified proposal to reduce police misconduct” would make Trump seem like a leader. Giuliani talks about the murder of 4-year old LeGen Taliferro in Kansas City, 17-year-old New York basketball Star Brandon Hendricks, who had committed to St. John’s, one-year-old Davell Gardner, Jr., who was shot and killed in a stroller at a cook-out in Brooklyn. He said these murders caused no outrage on the left.” For President Trump, and for us Republicans, all Black Lives Matter and the lives of LaGen, Brandon and Davell matter to us,” he says. Then he zings, “There is no question that this awesome job of restoring safety cannot be done from your basement, Joe,” he says. Watch his speech here.
  • Video Montage on China and threat and Biden
  • Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.  Mic drop, “Sen. Cotton says Obama’s secretary of defense said Biden has gotten almost every foreign policy decision wrong and compares Biden’s foreign policy record to Trump’s:
    1. Joe Biden slashed defense spending again and again. President Trump rebuilt our military—and added the Space Force.
    2. Joe Biden let ISIS terrorists rampage across the Middle East. President Trump eliminated ISIS’s leader—and destroyed its caliphate.
    3. Joe Biden opposed the mission to kill Osama bin Laden. President Trump avenged the murder of hundreds of Americans by killing Iran’s terrorist mastermind, Qassim Soleimani.
    4. Joe Biden sent pallets of cash to the ayatollahs. President Trump ripped up the dangerous Iran nuclear deal.
    5. Joe Biden treated Israel like a nuisance. President Trump moved our embassy to Jerusalem and brokered peace deals in the Middle East.
    6. Joe Biden coddled socialist dictators in Cuba and Venezuela. President Trump fights against communism—in America’s backyard and around the world.
    7. And on the Communist Party of China, there is no comparison. Joe Biden aided and abetted China’s rise for fifty years with terrible trade deals that closed our factories and laid off our workers.

Cotton then unplugged the karaoke machine – President Trump stands up to China’s cheating and stealing, and lying. Joe Biden allowed Chinese fentanyl to flood across our southern border. President Trump sanctioned Chinese drug dealers for poisoning our kids. Watch his speech here.

  • Carl and Marsha Mueller were the parents of Kayla Mueller, an American humanitarian worker killed by ISIS. There are no words to form paragraphs that would express the true weight and penetrating ramifications of what Kayla’s parents said to the world last night. There is no constructed or manipulated narrative being delivered – only soul-crushing realities about the last administration and this one. Please watch and share on social media in the name of Kayla.

  • Alice Johnson, whose life sentence for drug charges Trump commuted after serving 22 years in prison. “Some say, You do the crime. You do the time.” However, that time should be fair and just. We’ve all made mistakes, and none of us want to be defined forever based on our worst decision,” she says. “While in prison, I became a playwright, a mentor, a certified hospice volunteer, an ordained minister, and received the Special Olympics Event Coordinator of the year award for my work with disabled women. Because the only thing worse than unjustly imprisoning my body is trying to imprison my mind.” Her perspective on the President’s ability to empathize and act on injustices with compassion is worth hearing out. Watching her tell her story, one could sense the purpose, joy, and peace.

  • Video Montage Promises made Promises kept.
  • Ivanka Trump is the President’s daughter, and White House advisor. Politically speaking, this was the best speech given over the four nights. Her ability to communicate expansive and complex facets to the man and his policy choices was stellar, and when appropriate, she delivered with nuance. Ivanka is an elegant speaker whose intellect is undeniable, but it is her belief in her father’s unique capabilities and her respect and admiration for him that made this speech a home run. She has her father’s unique ability to be both sophisticated and bigger than life while also being that friend next door you want to share hot dogs with at a BBQ. In short, like her father, she has charisma oozing out of every flawless pore. She balances the President’s bull in a china shop and skillfully shreds the media caricature of him -“I recognize that my dad’s communication style is not to everyone’s taste. And I know his Tweets can feel a bit … unfiltered. But the results speak for themselves. He is so unapologetic about his beliefs that he has caused countless Americans and me to take a hard look at our own convictions and ask ourselves, what do we stand for?” Ivanka put each promise kept into human terms as she schooled those stuck in a media disinformation campaign. No doubt she made the President proud of his daughter tonight, but I suspect she made many Americans equally so.

  • President Donald Trump Accepts the nomination. The man of the hour was only upstaged by the stunning First Lady at his side dressed in a bright green pleated dress and fuchsia pumps-sheer beauty. Par for the nasty leftist course, major news outlets rushed to make a green screen meme of our Melania adding virus death counts onto her image where the dress flowed. TDS is real.

The President gave his speech on the South Lawn, and although the stage was no competition for Obama’s elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple back in 2008, none the less it was grand. The lawn was full of hundreds of guests, and the production value was off the charts complete with a live tenor, Operatic star Christopher Macchio, who was superb. The moment the couple appeared and descended the stairs, Right Wire Report sensed something was a tad off, it was written all over his face and his body language. Did the President just receive disturbing information? Was he not physically feeling well? Had the recent death of his brother weigh on him? Had the large crowd of verbally vile protesters gathered outside the gates attempting to disrupt his speech, complete with an erected guillotine, irritate him so?

Trump’s speech was effective and, at times, soaring, humorous, and brutally honest. However, it was way too long and, at times, lacked his usual energy and spirit in a few lulls. The transcript holds up as one of his better speeches. We now know what we assume is the rationale for what we picked up on earlier. The President had just been apprised before coming down to deliver his speech -Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzō Abe suddenly resigned related to illness. The alliance and friendship the two men have forged are essential to some of the major foreign policy moves the administration has made and plan to make, going forward, and Abe was both bridge and glue ( US-India-Japan Axis). So that is our guess on Trump’s mood, we could always be wrong.

He laid out a specific vision for the next four years and even was Reagan-like with some of his blows to Biden, but they packed a powerful punch. Some of his memorable lines:

    1. The DNC, Biden assailed America as a land of racial, social, and economic injustice. He says how Democrats can ask to lead our country when they spend so much time tearing down our country.
    2. The left sees America as a nation that must be “punished” for its wickedness. They say redemption can only be given by giving power to them. He says in America, we don’t turn to government to restore our souls. We put our faith in Almighty God.
    3. Biden took the donations of blue-collar workers for 47 years and gave them hugs and kisses, told them he felt their pain, and then flew back to Washington and shipped their jobs to China and to distant lands and outsourced their dreams, offshoring their jobs, opening borders, and sending their sons and daughters to fight in endless foreign wars that never ended.
    4. I did what our political establishment never expected and could never forgive, breaking the cardinal rule of Washington Politics. I kept my promises,” Trump says. Together, we have ended the rule of the failed political class – and they are desperate to get their power back by any means necessary. You’ve seen that. They are angry at me because instead of putting them first, I’ve simply put America first.”
    5. I vow to “crush” the virus while Biden claims to be an “ally of the light,” but when it comes to his agenda, he wants to keep us completely in the dark.
    6. The cost of the Biden shutdown would be measured in increased drug overdoses, depression, alcohol addiction, suicides, heart attacks, economic devastation, job loss, and much more. Joe Biden’s plan is not a solution to the virus, but rather it’s a surrender to the virus.
    7. Biden has promised to abolish the production of American oil, coal, shale, and natural gas – laying waste to the economies of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico,” Trump then says while talking about energy issues, blaming these policies for crippling power outages in California. He says how Biden can claim to be an ally of the light when his own party can’t even keep the lights on.

After four years of being under constant assault by the media and the left, and experiencing the most resistance any president has ever endured … this was Trump’s night to take a well-deserved victory lap among those who support him. He soaked up the love and gave it back double.

President Donald Trump released his second-term agenda in advance, and many of the items were highlighted tonight – see here.

The four objectives for night four:

  1. Correct the record once and for all. Trump is not a racist, a xenophobe, a homophobe, Islamaphobe, a White Supremacist, a murderer, a criminal, a serial liar, intellectually daft, cognitively impaired, Lazy, misogynistic, Hitler-like, or a fascist. There was a heavy dose of trolling and exposing the Democrats and media’s complicity and malpractice as well.
  2. Trump and the Trump Republican Party is Inclusive and does not seek conformity of ideas rather welcomes diversity of thought. All Trump and the Republican Party policies are working for all Americans, and building back our economy is Trump’s wheelhouse. Trump attracts minority and women voters not by pandering but by action and solving problems in their lives. No victims or Identity politics.
  3. Promises made – Promises Kept.
  4. Why you should cast a vote for Trump, the vision was 29 minutes of his speech and laid out many new initiatives starting with a decentralized government( moving agencies outside of DC), consolidation of agencies, and limited government that serves the people NOT the people serving the government.

The 2020 Republican Convention has drawn to a close, but we must admit that for at least four nights, America did start to feel like the “Land of Greatness” again. The media was constrained and unable to dampen the base or enthusiasm it has for the President and their country. Sadly, the dangerous and infantile rage marched on in the streets, just outside the gates of the White House, and on cable news channel panels reminding us what is truly at stake in this election.

  1. There are a few take away’s from either convention is that Demorrhoids are socialists and care nothing for America and Conservatives are patriots and want to keep America great and Demorrhoids will lose BIG in November!!!

  2. Great article, but I couldn’t help but giggle at this remark: “To catch the vibe, check out this brief copulation of the spectacular Fireworks (the best we have ever seen) celebration and Operatic performances.” Copulation? Mmmm, I hope not! I think you meant “compilation”!!!

  3. I wonder if the man that was beat down by the mob who was simply going to watch the fire works actually got to see the “compilation”.
