Trump donates Q3 salary to HHS opioid epidemic effort
Acting Health and Human Services Secretary Eric Hargan told reporters that President Donald Trump is donating his 3rd quarter presidential salary to HHS to help in the fight against opioid addiction.
“President Trump has decided to donate his salary this quarter to HHS to be used in the planning and design of a large-scale public awareness campaign about the dangers of opioid addiction,” the White House tweeted shortly after his appearance Thursday at the White House Press Briefing.

The president has donated 100% of his presidential salary in quarterly offerings. The National Park Service and Department of Education were the recipients of his 1st and 2nd quarter donations.
