Early Poll Shows Bernie Leading the Pack for 2020 Dems as the Left Embraces Socialism

The permanent election cycle just keeps churning on. We have not even hit the one-year mark since the last presidential election and already, the handicappers are placing their early bets on the winning horses in the 2020 race.

And it’s Bernie Sanders leading out of the gate.

This has now become akin to a football game with the 2018 midterms marking halftime and the 2019 primaries being the third quarter.

According to a Zogby analytics poll, Bernie’s Bolsheviks have jumped out to a big first quarter lead by capitalizing on lousy coaching decisions and turnovers by the opposition.

It also appears that the allure of a national $15 an hour minimum wage, free stuff (translation: guns AND butter) and the imposition of socialism have taken root in a large portion of the Democratic party base.

Via the Washington Examiner “2020: Sanders has big lead, Zuckerberg the dark horse, McAuliffe dead last”:

The upcoming 2020 Democratic presidential is Sen. Bernie Sanders’ to lose, according to a new election poll.

Sanders has a huge lead over rivals Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former Vice President Joe Biden, both of whom are eyeing a bid.

The dark horse appears to be Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a media and Clinton favorite, is dead last with just 1 percent supporting his candidacy in the Zogby Analytics survey of likely Democratic primary voters provided exclusively to Secrets.

Sanders, who was edged out by Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2016, is her heir apparent. Some 28 percent back Sanders, nearly twice that of Biden at 17 percent and nearly three times Warren’s 12 percent.

“Democratic primary voters are still excited about the prospect of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders winning the nomination,” said the survey analysis, provided to Secrets.

The full lineup:

Sen. Bernie Sanders — 27 percent.

Joe Biden — 17 percent.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren — 12 percent.

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg — 7 percent.

Sen. Kamala Harris — 6 percent.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand — 3 percent.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo — 3 percent.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar — 1 percent.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe — 1 percent.

In addition to a brewing socialist revolution, the poll seems to show that – at least to this point – that identity politics are not a big winner despite the Democrats’ tripling-down on the incitement of racial animosity for ballot box benefits.

Clinton crime family stooge and Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe didn’t get much of a bounce after exploiting Charlottesville and looks to be the Jim Gilmore of the field.

Kamala Harris is also lagging way behind despite the party establishment and Hillary’s donors already coalescing around her as a rising star.

Bernie could widen his early lead if his calls for single-payer health care or Medicare for all get any traction.

This is a very likely possibility with Americans being bled dry by the abomination of Obamacare that thanks to feckless GOP leaders in Congress, will only continue to lead to rising premiums that eat into household budgets like a rapacious army of Formosan termites.

Granted that it’s still really early but crazy Bernie is also the beneficiary of the political zombie Hillary Clinton once again rising from the grave to dominate the media as she promotes her book of excuses and bile What Happened?

Hillary’s refusal to just go away is a reminder of how thoroughly putrid that the establishment Democratic party has become and she will continue to serve as a millstone around its neck as long as she lingers which looks like it will be forever.
