Do They Ever Think Before They Speak?

There was a horrific incident in Minnesota where a young man lost his life at the hand of a police officer who may have made a huge mistake reaching for her taser and grabbing her gun By mistake. In the blink of an eye, another incident has set off riots in the streets of Minnesota. The facts of the incident are under investigation but one person, the town manager has been fired, and the officer-involved and the police chief have resigned. One person dead and three lives ruined….and counting.

We need to talk briefly about the incident but that is not the topic of this post. Duarte Wright was pulled over in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota for expired tags on his vehicle. When running the info on the car, it was determined that there was an outstanding warrant on 20-year-old Duarte Wright. When asked to step out of the car to be arrested for the warrant, the situation went bad and Kim Potter, a 26-year veteran officer, made a fatal mistake. She pulled her gun instead of her taser and fired one fatal shot into Wright. He was dead and unrest was alive. That is the incident that is now under investigation and has brought about the three ludicrous quotes I want to address.

Joe Biden was asked to comment on the incident on Monday. He gave the following rambling incoherent statement:

“We’ve spoken to the governor and the mayor, spoken to the authorities there and I haven’t called Daunte Wright’s family, but prayers are with their family. It’s really a tragic thing that happened, but I think we’ve got to wait and see what the investigation shows – the entire investigation. You’ve all watched, I assume – as I did, the film, which is really the body cam, which is fairly graphic. Question is – was it an accident? Was it intentional? That remains to be determined by a full-blown investigation,” Biden told reporters.

That is an exact quote. I did not change a word for effect. He actually said the incident might have been intentional! Are you kidding me? What an inflammatory statement that is for anyone to make let alone the sitting President. Please tell me he wishes he could circle back on that but I doubt he remembers making the statement.

The second person to chime in with an equally ludicrous statement is Representative Rashida Tlaib. This is he comments on the situation via Twitter:

“It wasn’t an accident. Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist. Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government-funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed,” wrote the far-left lawmaker on social media.

And then we have the brilliant AOC who threw in her two cents:

“Daunte Wright’s killing was not a random, disconnected ‘accident,’” Ocasio-Cortez wrote, “it was the repeated outcome of an indefensible system that grants impunity for state violence, rewards it w/ endlessly growing budgets at the cost of community investment, & targets those who question that order.”

In an additional post, the second-term “Squad” congresswoman described the shooting as part of a “systemic problem.”

“Cameras, chokehold bans, ‘retraining’ funds, and similar reform measures do not ultimately solve what is a systemic problem,” she wrote.

“That system will find a way,” she continued, “killings happen on camera, people are killed in other ways, retraining grows $ while often substituting for deeper measures.”

Says the person who is probably surrounded by armed guards whenever she is out in public and works in Fort Pelosi with a fence, concertina wire, and armed National Guard protecting her and her colleagues every day. Protection is great for me but not for thee is obviously the mantra of the squad. Can these people be any more tone-deaf or insensitive to the wants of America…to be safe where they live and work? I don’t think so but it doesn’t matter. It is what the media reports and what these nonthinking mouth-moving politicians want us to hear.

  1. Not one DC idiot mentions that the guy shouldn’t have tried to run, should have obeyed the cops. No, they just hopped on their soapboxes and tore down the people who try to protect us from the likes of Wright. Not all cops are good, but the majority are. On the other hand, all criminals are just that, criminals, not good people. The DC idiots are protected in a DC bubble and know nothing about the policemen who are trying to keep crooks off the street, they only hear hollering and wailing that cops are racist and evil and then they add their own screeching to the noise of the other screamin’ meemies. Why do these DC idiots have body guards? Make them explain that.
