Donald Trump continues to move along at lightning speed keeping all of his promises and the liberal mainstream press are besides themselves. They can’t keep up with him and are not used to someone like him. Trump’s latest pick is his supreme court nominee Neil Gorsuch.
Trump introduced Gorsuch very honorably and classy with little mention of himself like Obama, would and was short and to the point. Trump said he nominated someone who loves the constitution and respects it which Gorsuch does. Trump said he looked for someone who was a principled constitutionalist which is what Gorsuch is. Trump said Gorsuch is a man the country needs badly. Gorsuch then approached the podium with his wife and also gave a short speech saying how he would fulfill his responsibilities to the supreme court. All in all the entire announcement lasted 15 minutes.
Gorsuch was born and raised in Colorado and was nominated to the circuit court by George Bush in 2006. The fourth-generation Coloradan and conservative jurist has written against euthanasia and in favor of political term limits. He’s 49 years old.
His resume sparkles with top-caliber schools (Columbia, Harvard and Oxford). His work background includes time as a partner with the Washington law firm Kellogg Huber Hansen Todd Evans & Figel, a stint with the U.S. Department of Justice and clerkships with Supreme Justices Byron White and Anthony Kennedy.
“He has grabbed every brass ring,” said David Lat, managing editor of the legal website Above the Law. “He’s brilliant, conservative and impossible to oppose. That’s a deadly combination for Democrats.
If nominated, Gorsuch would have to get approval from the U.S. Senate before sitting on the high court. While the ceremony inside was going on lunatic protestors outside the supreme court were already ranting and raving showing that this demonstration like all anti-Trump demonstrations was previously planned. They even had pre-printed signs. One female protestor had a sign that read “Keep the Supreme Court Swamp free” an obvious play on Trump’s saying to “drain the swamp” Well Ms. Female protestor that is just what Trump is doing. If your gal Hillary got in her nominee would be from the swamp and you my dear are part of the swamp Trump is draining.
It’s going to be a rough hearing for Gorsuch,but he’s prepared for it because he knows what his mother went thru when she was the first woman to head the EPA under Reagan. Dems are already getting ready with their usual cliches saying he is anti-woman and anti-Obamcare and this that and the other because that’s all they ever have. One anti-Trump person appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show calling Trump an extremist president and all his choices are extremist. Sorry to disagree with you pal, but Trump is no extremist. It is you and all your protesting friends who are extremist and can’t accept the fact that you lost. Trump is checking off each of his promises at lightning speed and I agree with him on every one. He’s working on repealing Obamcare. He’s building the wall starting in March which I think should have been done long ago, he’s putting serious vetting in place for foreigners coming in here which hasn’t been done in spite of what liberals are saying to the contrary and now with a supreme court nominee who is an originalist and constitutionalist. He is not anti-woman or anti-Muslim either as they would like you to believe.
Gorsuch is a good choice. Now it will be interesting to see him thru the nomination process.
